Hi after the death of my loyal dog I now have a new one. I have had it now for over a year and have come to the conclusion that this breed of dog is a monster. It will not leed on walks and it will fight and growl at everything it see's. It takes no s**t from anything. This dog has turned my house around and taken over every were. Any one who visit's get's questioned by it and will not let anyone come close to it. If they try to touch me it will ankle bite them and hiss and growl and spit like a demon. The neighbour has tried many times to make friends with this dog even going down and buying treat's and giving them to her. But no way will she be friends with him.

But to my family she is the most loving and loyal dog you can find. She follows me every were and loves the kid's and they can do anything to her. We had a lizard and mice problem and now it's hard to find one. The local bird's will not land in the back yard and she's on patrol around the yard everyday.

This breed of dog is not for everyone but I am glad she is in my house.

Sounds like a great watch dog mate my mutts are like that hate the world love me,thats one reason i have dogs for security but mainly there me mates.

good luck with the hound and condolances as to the prior loss,,I recently visited family who has a whippet in the home,I thought the beast liked me and after a few moments of spirited activity I noticed blood running down my hand,it had worked its barracuda like canines into the back of my hand slowly and rather shallowly deeply;my jaw isnt locked shut and I imagine I ll heal.
