Thanks for everybody for all the positive replies to my previous posts. Encouraged I have painted long time waiting in the drawer Barzso Minutemen set. Uff, need some rest now...

In the big range of XVIII century America troops made by Barzso I'm still missing colonial troops in some regular uniforms, like NY, Virginia or Delavare regiments. Also difficult to find something in comparable good quality (not AIP) from other plastic/resin figures producers. Did anybody of you paint continental forces in plastic?

Simply marvelous! I wish I had the talent. Great job.

Thank you, Carlos. You can believe me or not, this is NOT question of talent - at least on my level of painting. My first figures done years ago didn't have eyes, not talking about shadows or datails. You need some experience, know-how, lot of patience and good brush/paints.

The only figures close are ACCURATE's Minute Men, some of which are wearing regimental coats and ACCURATE's British which can fit as regular Continentals and State troops. Some adjusting of the gear details might be needed. Call To Arms has a few poses as well.

Top notch painting like the scenery too! {bravo}}

I know what you mean by the lack of Continental troops but i think your best bet would be to cherry pick the best AIP poses.
Once painted and packed in close ranks they should look ok.

The loading and firing pose (without bayonet) are the two best. The rest are too static and stylized.

I thought I heard that Barzso was going to do Continental troops for this year. You'll just have to wait and see.

If Barzso does, I hope the figures have Charleville muskets. Then the blankety-blank barrel bands will be correct!

Great work! Here are some I did from A Call to Arms (American Maryland Infantry set) and Revell. (British AWI Infantry set). I found the sculpting detail to be good, especially with the ACTA set.

Thank to Everybody for all sugestions and posting pictures.
Painting Accurate figures (I suppose these are the same figures as Revell), also British as Continental sounds sensible to me. I have these sets but till now painted only a few militia figures in civil clothes. Effect is, off course, not as nice as in case of Barzso figures, but acceptable.
Call to Arms figures looks nice on the photos,looks to be good quality. Unfortunatelly, very limited number of poses. I'm not specialist from american uniforms, and I was thinking if Call to Arms British could be painted as Continental by changing hats (or how it should be properly called in english) by taking these from Maryland set.

And, if Ron Barzso would really release some Continental troop(s)... I'm already excited thinking of that... And this would be best solution.

If you convert these British to Americans, be sure to remove the Grenadier shoulder "wings."
