Mix and Matching various figures (1 Viewer)

I collect mostly WB ACW. I have ventured into a few K & C WWll figures for purpose of a few dios. That has lead me to look at figures from TG, and Figarti, Conte, CS, First Legion, tanks from Forces of Valor. Ive know K & C are a big larger then Britains but I am not sure how TG, Figarti and the others compare. Has anyone discussed this whole concept before? Would it be safe to say that WB, TG and Figarti probably match up as well as any three could???? Opinions welcomed.....

A very interesting question. I think all these producers make fine ACW and if I'm not hijacking this thread (but I think its pertinent to it) could I also also ask a couple of questions.

1. Do Collectors showcase figures work with William Britain's?
2. Did Conte EVER get those dead and wounded sets for both North and South back in stock?

As far as ACW goes, I think UK Reb has shown that you can mix and match figures from various makers.

Im going to mix WWll figures sorry for not making that clear. And I had no idea this was a "hot button" topic.... Sometimes we are just too serious about our hobbies.........well thanks all....

WWII King&Country and Thomas Gunn Germans work together as do Collectors Showcase. Be aware though that CS did WWII figures in 1/28 scale a few years ago.

for WWII I think K&C and TG are the closest for compatability. I can't mix CS with K&C as even now with bases they are still too big and, have such different styles they do not work for me. FL are too small to be mixed with these manufacturers other than as a background filler to a scene and thats the same for britains WWII stuff.

Its down to the individual at the end of the day if they are happy mixing with all the variations and opinions of the few of us on here then, mix them all. Its like the historical accuracy thing if you want it spot on don't mix certain things if, you don't care lump them all together.

I have a fairly large Battle of Gettysburg diorama at 80 x 24 inches. My ACW diorama has many Conte, Frontline Figures and W. Britain figures + Trophy's "Union Artillery at the Gallop" & a single K&C mounted figure. And and they all seem to "work" together well. All these sets are in matt or matte, except for the Trophy set that is in gloss.

I try to mix and match insertung even the stuff I make myself. Given enough space just about anything will go.

Below are attached #5 photos from my 80 x 24 inch Battle of Gettysburg diorama showing Conte Collectibles, Frontline Figures, W. Britain, Trophy Miniatures & one K&C single figure on horseback set (CSA Flag Bearer). These photos give an overall view of the diorama. Diorama represents the July 3, 1863 "Highwater Mark" attack by General Pickett against the Union lines at "The Angle".
