I phoned modelzone/uk today and wanna order this new figure; they told me, that I am now on a list and have to wait - that they perhaps (!) could sell me the figure, becorse demand is high (and perhaps... not enough figures available). - It is not so funny to hear that (as a customer which will pay 100 Pounds for a figure); can't be enough figures be produce for collectors demand, my god?!? Is it the concept to produce unhappy Britains Zulu War collectors with "missing links" in their collection? - Richard, what do you think?

Remember although this is made by William Britain it is commissioned by Model Zone and I assume they can order as much or as little (I am sure there is a minimum order) as they want.

I think I will pass on this as it is not in the Zulu numbering system but in the connoisseur numbering system and I do not collect those. I also think he is a little to expensive for what he is.

I agree with all, but: the copyright holder (the name "WBritains" is used...) can say Yes or No to a product conception. I am sorry, but WBritain is "in the boat" of this (and have to think about this politician of ... artificial shortage).

Hans,
It is frustrating to say the least. ModelZone used to be easy to deal
with, but not of late for some reason.

ModelZone has a full page Ad in the October Standard put out by
W. Britain Collectors Club. The Ad only features the Lt. Coghill
figure and the Ad states "export a pleasure" and further to order
online. You can't as there is no means to compute shipping and
the ordering process hangs up.

There is another means on the Collectors Club website. I ordered
there a month ago and have not heard one word. Not even a courtesy
that my order has been received.

I do collect these Connoisseur figures. This one is a companion piece
to 39002 Lt Melvill, which I did get from ModelZone with no problem
over a year ago. Great service. Something must have changed.

If anyone going to the London Show and will be willing to get it
for me I'll PayPal them plenty plus to purchase and post to me. PM's
welcome.

I have to agree with you BLReed ModelZone are not what they used to be. I emailed and never received a reply so emailed again and felt as though I was inconveniencing them.

Thanks for informations, friends! - Yes, it would be frustrating for me (and Melville, in my Zulu War display) not to catch Coghill.

I am debating wheter or not to order this figure, as I have the other figures, but the cost of the figure is very high. My main trouble with ordering this figure is what Modelzone chargs for postage to the USA.

Hi Guys:

Please send your intended orders for this item, your addresses, telephone numbers and any other information you wish to pass along to my personal email at: richardwalker@1st-gear.com (do not send credit card info - I'll call for that). I am not amused about the lack of response and service you all have been receiving. I will be seeing our Modelzone contact in ten days (who by the way is a marvelous guy and avid collector - I am sure he will want to get to the bottom of this). This has been an issue for sometime now and I thank you all for your patience and understanding. I will work to fix it or find another solution.

Please get me the info by Monday November 29 if at all possible. Thanks again for all your support!

Best Regards,

Richard

..... My main trouble with ordering this figure is what
Modelzone charges for postage to the USA.
They use ParcelForce Express or something, and I get the package in three
days. Worth it to me, but I rarely concern myself with shipping. They
charge a Flat rate, and you can add other figures to the order for the same amount.
They use quality heavy cardboard boxes. You can't believe some of the things I've
received from overseas in a padded envelope for crying out loud or a thin walled recycled
biscuit box. Spend $200 on a figure, and they try to save me postage.:( False economy in
the long run in my opinion.

Also, I think they deduct VAT from the UK price. I can't remember for sure
so don't take that as a given. A surprize bonus maybe.

Many thanks Richard for you assistance.:) Email sent.

I sent and email and received a reply which indicated I was on the list and they would contact me for payment and shipping when available. I am wondering, i better send Richard my info too to make sure I get one!

First of all please allow me to introduce myself – My name is Michelle Hicks and I am the Customer Relations Co-ordinator for ModelZone. I would like to apologise for the difficulties experienced if pre-ordering our new William Britain exclusive and can assure you that all of your comments have been acted upon.

At the moment we are only able to ship to limited countries via our website and as a result, most international pre-orders will be carried out via our stores. This is why we provide the telephone number for our store in Croydon on the advert. Any emails that I receive from the website, I have forwarded to the stores that are most experienced in dealing with mail orders, so I would hope that you receive the best service. If anyone would like to email me with any more details about the service you have received, I will ensure that specific training improvements can be made. My email is michelle.hicks@modelzone.co.uk.

With regards to the postage, I would like to assure you that we will take every care in ensuring that your order arrives in perfect condition. The majority of UK orders are sent via ParcelForce. Overseas will more than likely be sent International Signed For. We do not charge you any more that we are charged for this service.

Once again, I can only apologise for those that have not received a perfect service and can assure you that improvements will be made.

Thanks for joining Michelle if only to provide some insight as to what is taking place. How refreshing to actually have someone listen to our concerns and complaints and take them on board instead of just blowing us of with some excuse or other.

Thanks
Scott

I agree, I never had a problem with the packaging, the figures always arrived in great shape. Just moaning, had a bad day at work.
I just emailed my info to Richard.

Hi Michelle,
I'm glad you have joined this forum and provided your customer relations contact details it is much appreciated.
I personally would like to thank ModelZone for the excellent service I received just recently in trying to track down a Britains Napoleonic set "French Light Infantry Voltigeurs in greatcoats WB36011" which has been retired.
Only two stores had the set in stock. Brighton and Southampton.
(My nearest store is Kingston-upon-Thames).
I ordered it from your Brighton store and they held the set for me over the Christmas period. Because of the bad weather I was unable to get to the store before Christmas but they still held onto it for me. They were also prepared to post it but I needed the sea air after being cooped up at home over Christmas.:(
Great service by the team in Brighton.:) Please pass on my thanks.

Regards
Paul
