Just in time for the holidays I received a package from Ted Deddens of Tedtoys today, holding two figures of Monarch Regalia's Crimean War series.
I am very pleased with them. Wonderful figures, nicely sculpted and painted in the traditional glossy style. Will be looking for more in the coming year.
The first one is an Officer of the 2nd Dragoon Guards (Scots Greys) in review order. Here are a few pictures to show him from all sides.

The second figure I got today is another Officer in review order, but this time from the 17th Lancers. Here some pictures of him in various views.

There is not much talk about Monarch Regalia usually, but especially with their Samurai series and also with their Crimean War line I think they should be considered more by the Collectors of the good old glossy style :)

Very nice Konrad and beautiful additions to your glossy collection. You are right there isn't much talk about Monarch and the figures certainly are very nice.

Hi Konrad,

I very much agree with you. There is not much talk about the Monarch Regalia figures, but I consider them among the best of today's glossy figures. As you know, I collect the Monarch Regalia Samurai figures and I am thrilled with them.

I am also glad you have taken the plunge and begun to collect some of the Monarch figures. I have little doubt you will be adding more of the Monarch figures to your Crimean collection. :) In my opinion, they are very special.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Those are excellent! I am planning to get a few of these figures in the not too distant future! I expect I will need to wait though with all the expenditure this holdiay season! We got a little carried away! I look forward to seeing others that you pick up.

Dave

Konrad,

You never cease to amaze me with the variety of your collection. Great additions. Those horses do look mean though, not to be trifled with ;)

Konrad

You certainly have one of the classiest toy soldier collections I've ever seen. You are definitely "Mr. Gloss British Empire." We all look forward to 2011 and what new treasures you will bring forth to dazzle us with.

Randy

really nice figures. Is MR the outfit doing the glossy samurai too? Those are really under-appreciated figures.

Thanks, Guys,
these two really do compliment my British Empire collection nicely.
Gideon, yes, I am talking about the same Monarch Regalia that produce the wonderful Samurai line too
They are represented here in the States by Ted Deddens, Tedtoy, www.tedtoy.com

And then there were three ^&grin
Last week I was able to add a Crimean War Officer in review order to accompany the 17th Lancer and 2nd Dragoon. This Officer is from the 11th Hussars.
Another fine example of Monarch Regalia's splendid traditional style Toy Soldiers.
Here are some pics.

And two more pics of the three Officers together.
17th Lancer, 2nd Dragoon and 11th Husssar.

A very nice addition to your Monarch collection Konrad. Looks like just the 8th Hussars officer left to buy :)

Exceptional figures, Konrad. You definitely know how to pick your figures. :)

Right, Scott,
so far the 8th Hussar is the only one left of the "review order" style.
I just wish they would have mounted him on a different posed horse. As it is, he's just a repaint of the 11th.

Hi Konrad
Just want to tell u i started collecting
the procession from Monarch
It's Imperial style, like them very much
don't see them too often, exept Ted Toy
i don't know anybody that carries them.
Maple Leaf

Hi Maple Leaf,
as far as I know, Ted Deddens (Ted Toy) is the exclusive distributor for the Monarch Regalia line in the U.S.
Last weekend I saw "The Procession" sets eye to eye and they make for a stunning, beautiful display.
If you have a chance, please start a "procession" thread and post some photos.
Monarch Regalia needs some advertising. They make top quality traditional style Toy Soldiers.
Konrad

Hi Konrad,

Pat has a bunch of the Procession sets maybe he can post some photos.

I am going to start on the Crimean sets this year will likely focus on the Russians first since my Britains Club figures need someone to shoot at. Also want to fill in the Charge of the Light Brigade scene I am building with more of his Lancers and some of the other Dragoons etc.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Dave,

I need to make a correction in your statement. While I would love to collect the Monarch Procession series, I dare not start a new line. What I do collect is the Monarch Regalia Samurai series. If I ever complete the Samurai series, I will begin collecting the Procession in a heartbeat!

In my opinion, the Monarch Regalia figures are among the very best glossy figures on the market. Unfortunately, I do not have many quality photographs of this portion of my collection. However, I have posted below a photo of Set #212, Honda Clan Standing. The photo does not begin to display the significant beauty of these figures. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the photo.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :smile2:
