If the Battle of Britain releases are 50% of why I'm so pleased with this months releases, here's the other 50%.

This is going to go very nicely indeed with the Crusader, Grant and Bren gun carrier;

These Aussie figures are also very welcome indeed and are high on my list

And finally this Afrika Corpse (sorry couldn't resist the pun!) he will make for a good realistic addition to a scene thats already forming in my mind.

The Aussie truck is even more attractive now as it will go very well with the above figures, one thing is for sure January is going to be an expensive month! K&C are starting 2012 in fine form.

Again Rob got to totally agree here! This is also the reason I'm happy with this months dispatches! The desert Aussies have long been figures I've wanted made & will be added to my desert dio with much plesure :) plus I've wanted the Aussie morris truck since we first got that sneak peek so will be getting one of those too!!!

Craig

So we can assume these will join your collection?^&grin
Very nice pieces.

Plenty of allies this month. Cannot remember a month where they out numbered the german releases. The german is a good pose as it allows some repainting for different theatres and, can be used as a soldier at rest so, offers a lot of scope than the obviously dead pose. A great figure. Like the figure with the Donkey

Must be a lot of pleased collectors especially, from down under. Brett must be jumping for joy!!!

I wasn't going to get the Aussie truck mate, but now with the figures I think I want it.

Mitch, spot on. The dead AK figure will be of good use and I'm sure expert painters as yourself could do wonders changing this for other theaters, me I''ll happily have Monty looking at him.

Rob

I like the fact that the dead AK soldier is not on a base....More display possibilities!!!

Mitch,

like you I love the new Aussies, epecially the donkey.... but why wasn't this released as a separate animal?

In that way collectors of all eras, well 1750 onward to WW2 could buy the poor animal, or even a few for a donkey train, and so make it a more universal figure.

I'd love a few for a Napoleonic scene, but to get one or 2, I'd have to sell the Aussies who would fit in nicley just walking across the sands of the Sahara!

John

Been awhile since K&C did WWII Aussies proper and this latest batch look good. All you desert collectors should be very pleased. In particular I like the donkey piece, very unique. ^&cool

What I like about the M7 is that its in the same paint job as the Bren carrier , Crusader and Grant
Tanks, this makes such a good dio scenario and makes it even more collectable.

Rob

Rob glad your gona pick a morris truck up now, its really a nice looking piece & will set off the new Aussie figures great! Plus if my RAF one is anything to go on it will be an excellent little model!

CMF the donkey is really good isn't he? A very nice & unusual little set ill be picking up one of these as soon as they are released as well!

Most of this months dispatches have gone straight to the top of my want list, so a few other sets have had to drop down a few spaces {sm2}{sm3}{sm2}{sm4} its probably a good job there wasn't any retirements for me this month lol

I agree Rob, it will work in nicely with the vehicles you mentioned. I have the U.S. priest and i reckon this one looks better!

Mitch,
Yes you could say I am not displeased !!!

Obee,
Regarding the donkey set I would think there is potential to split the sets. Looks like a piece of string joining them and if that comes off then man and donkey could be sold seperately. I am pretty sure I would have some guys who only want the marching guy and others like yourself who might want the donkey. Something for dealers to consider as might help sell a few more sets.

If anybody sees the donkey set in London (Rob ?) can you check how they attach.

Regards
Brett

Panzerace44,
Aussie collectors do also buy ACW, American Revolution, Alamo etc so hopefully a few US collectors will also pick up Aussies. Last year I started a Poll on the Forum for various Aussie figures and WWII North Africa was the most popular choice.

Brett

Can I just ask whether the australian troops wore slouch hats in combat. Are their any photographs of this
