More Great JJD WWII Armor: the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Mittlerer Schutzenpanzerwagen (1 Viewer)

I just received John’s new Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Mittlerer Schutzenpanzerwagen model (GA-251/1) and set it up in a quick and simple vignette with some W. Britains Late War SS troops and a couple War Park figures for the vehicle crew. The overall design is basically the same as the Sd.Kfz. 251/7 Mittlerer Pionierpanzerwagen model and should be just as versatile across a multitude of settings. This halftrack is another great piece of JJD WWII armor

Can’t wait to see what you do with your halftrack, Mike!

I kept mine in a winter-style setup with figures depicting Waffen SS troops as the vehicle is from the 1st SS Panzer Division LSSAH in the Battle of the Bulge timeframe. However, it could be used in a variety of other settings from 1944 on. It would be great if John made proper crew and passengers for the halftracks.

What a great setup with your 251, Mike! Awesome use of the FL and War Park figures. I really wish I’d gotten that gunner figure a few years back as he’d be really useful now, lol!

Mike, the JJD vehicles definitely fit well with the War Park and FL models. Although I really like John’s use of the more muted colors, War Park too. Sometimes the FL vehicle colors can be a little bright by comparison. But again they do all work well together!

Great setups gentlemen! I agree about the painting of JJD vehicles, I've always thought the colors were spot on and the most realistic. Here's my 251, I took your idea Tman with the picture frame dio setup! Very flexible. Next one will be bigger!

Kollos, that is some fantastic work on your vignette! Glad I was able to provide some inspiration… Very simple but effective setup and you’ve got some fantastic looking terrain and vegetation in your scene
