As promised here are some more photos of the hand made wooden models made by a friend of my Fathers. There is one more of a Flying Fortress which I don't appear to have photographed, but I will soon rectify this.

Jeff,

Those planes are very, very nice. I always marvel at the great modeling skill some people are able to demonstrate. Your father's friend is most talented and your father is most lucky to own those planes!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Wow, I recognize a Hawker Seafury, a Foche Wulf FW-190D Long Nose, a Fairey Swordfish Bi-Plane Torpedo Bomber, and a Sunderland Flying Boat. Is the other plane a Handley-Page Victor? Whatever it is, these are very nicely done! Can't wait for the shot of the B17. Are these all in 1:32 scale like the Lysander?

Very talented guy. I love planes.

Suggest him to make a Macchi 202 for his next "chef-d'oeuvre".

Pierre.

Great stuff, Jeff, thank you for posting those pics, love that Focke-Wolfe 190.:) Can't wait to see the B-17.

Fred

Thanks.
Louis, they are all 1/32 as far as I can tell. Being a draftsman I used to up scale the 144th plans to 1/32 for my fathers friend, the Sunderland has a wing span of about 3 ft! I'm not sure if that is a Handley-Page Victor or not, I will try to find out.
Pierre, I'm afraid that my fathers friend passed away this time last year, but I know there was a Mustang which was given to someone else, so I will see if I can get a photo or two.
I'm glad that you like the planes, I think that they are pretty amazing.
Thanks again for the interest.

Man, that Sunderland must be awesome! I have the K&C 1:32 scale B17, Junkers JU52, Horsa Glider and Heinkel HE111, so I am familiar with planes with nearly a 3 foot wingspan. They may take up a lot of space but they look incredible.

Thanks.
