More Scennes from the Old West (1 Viewer)

Great scene really like the landscape you have created.:salute::

Boy that terrain gives you so much scope to set up realistic scenes. That would be so useful with my John Ford cavalry. Good to get ideas from you, well done.:salute::, Robin.

WHat were they thinking ? A full size shotgun!!!! Nice photo silly pose.

TSSD might have been thinking that one could make the shot gun figure into a Confederate guerrilla or a cowboy of "something." Those spare parts just go into my "partz" box. There are some sources and a photo showing the 1st Florida Cavalry with shot guns and long arms. I suspect that any unit that could get carbines would trade up as soon as possible.

Parts box is good. But CSA units issued or carrying long arms would not try to fire them mtd and moving IMHO. Also some of the guys are holding the reins in their right hand!!! LOL LOL oh well.... Great figures none the less

I've seen references to NB Forrest's men carrying shorter versions of infantry rifles but noted as using these dismounted.

Firing these weapons from the saddle must have been tough and I'll have to increase my knowledge of cavalry tactics to properly weigh in. I question TSSD's inclusion of that pose but I hope "playset addict" won't take that as a criticism of his dioramas.
