Here is another round of odds and ends, any help is greatly appreciated.

1. Marlborough definitely, just don't know series or id number

2. Arabs/Sudan - unique in how rifles are painted, I have seen them before but can't place them. They are not bulldog, are they Brigade?

3. Simple Simon & the Pie Man, followed by Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, not sure who made these, but very well done:

4. Gunga Dhin?

THanks in advance!

Nice puzzles, Tom!

I think the pearly band members are shown in one of O'Brien's books, I can check tonight for their actual designations.

Prost!

Bump, any of you detectives out there???

I am really curious on items 2 thru 4.

Thanks!
Tom

Hi Tom,

I wish I could be of more help because I have seen the Arabs before and cant for the life of me remember where. I will go through my references when they arrive here in Germany. Till then I hope that the Baron will come up with something.

THanks Dave, I have the same feeling on the Arabs, it is driving me nuts.

Sorry, guys, I misremembered O'Brien barely mentions Marlborough at all, and has no pictures. It's in the section on Charles Hall that he mentions the pearly band, but I don't these are from that series.

I can't find any references for the nursery rhyme figures, either, but I suspect that they're from the 90s or more recent, from the look of them.

My next thought is to go through some of the websites now, like Little Metal Men and others, to see if I see anything similar.

It's turning into a real mystery!

Prost!

Very cool, they are surely early something, they came in a lot that included old British Bulldog, Trophy and Alymer (old well done Alymer).

Ted,
#3 Little Lead Soldiers
#4 Most likely MA Soldiers sculptured by Fred Klotz.
