Following are a few of my first efforts at Civil War figures. They are shown without filler or paint to give you an idea of the changes;

Great work Gary.

With you and Mike posting up these conversions, I'm itching to get my hands on them over this side of the water.

Simon

I still haven,t gotten or seen these yet in person but it sounds like there real nice from all the reports I,ve read so far.

Binder Great job on the conversions as always! I would like to see more pictures of them if you get some paint on them.

I hope to find a couple of sets of these guys at the Dedham toy soldier show this weekend and put a few under the knife myself.

Binder great job, Tim, I think those are going to be big sellers at the show. My future plans are to have at least a 40 man Calvary. If my fellow converters keep coming up with great poses, it could go larger. Mike:)

Excellent work Binder. I like the charging with sabre pose best. Classic cavlary poses.
Thanx for the pix

Hows it going Scott? I,m glad to see you signed up!
Nice conversions, have you done anymore lately???
I was going over posts on the other forum the other day and came across that civil war cantanier woman figure you made from the TSSD WWII russian woman figure. That was a really great conversion, you should post some more of your conversion work on here and help us get the conversion thread going again.
I haven,t done much lately as far as converting but I did do up a few conte zulu conversions and might do a few other conversions soon also after buying up a bunch of conte figures at the buy one get one free sale.

Scott, nice job on the conversions, that imex blue color really stands out. I might have to get some in that color next time.:)

Modwalls,

It's not Imex blue or the remarx blue. It's a coat of FolkArt #401 True Blue.

I've been buying the Confederate sets, leaving that gray color alone, and painting the Union. My Confederates will be more individual looking with grafted on heads from the infantry sets and more use of pistols and carbines.

Thanks,

Scott

Can you show more of the conversions themselves? Maybe one of each side by side.

Good idea! I'm doing that now with the Weston Mexican Peasants. When I do my Confederates, I'll show some before during and after shots.

"keep at 'em men"

Binder,

Is this figure ment to be an officer?

Thanks,

Scott
