It's a relatively new line and there may be some US collectors who are not that interested in the historical context. I think it will gain in popularity as more figures come out and the word spreads about how good they are.

I agree with this. The 5 figures currently available may not be enough to garner "favorite" statis for many yet, but a little imagination and a few more figures will solve the question for many people. -- lancer

I voted for the Jacobites, this range could be really expanded greatly...maybe we'll have some building like a towerhouse or the Ruthven Barracks..and more British Infantry, militiamen, loyalist highlanders troops...

What surprises me a bit is how well BOS is doing and how few votes there are for POA. Maybe the POA vote is going to Monongahela. Also there haven't been many POA releases lately.

Actually there have been quite a few in the last 3-4 months.2 French Marine sets,The French artillery sets,the cavalry figure,3-4 British sets.I think these polls are good so John can see what the collecters really like and want.As I said before I think the 1812 range is the least popular.

IMO the POA series is a steal. All of the early issues are still available at issue price. The infantry for both sides are really good as are the Montcalm & Wolfe issues. The whole series is well done with many choices to pick from. If JJD had not done the Jacobites, POA would be my #1 choice, and for variety, it still is. I do not know if POA will shoot up in value when it sells out, but those who miss it will be sorry on general principle. -- lancer

I really don't know why historically the War of 1812 never interested me..but as i see is a common view (obviously my judgement is related to the toy soldier world and to this poll), there are elements to make it more interesting,maybe the addition of a "scene" as with Wolfe , Montcalm, Braddock could make it more palatable.... maybe the death of Pakenham (the brother in law of the Duke if i recall)!

I think it would do better if they started off with the Battle of New Orleans.I think this would be much more popular,especially with American collectors.Some American and Canadian militia would be nice.The War of 1812 has never been as popular in the U.S. as the Revolution or Civil War or even the French & Indian War.I do think the British sets are great.

The unparalleled artistic quality (both sculpting and painting) and the uniqeness of the subject matter make the Battle on Snowshoes and Jacobites tops in my opinion.

I don't know where is headed the Jacobite range (we'll have more jacobites regiments?surely we'll have Barrel's 4th Foot) , but the flagbearer i received showed me that this is (to my opinion) by far the best range of John Jenkins , and one of the best in toy soldier world!
