I decided to just drop this here. It was the largest AWI reenactment I ever attended (whatever that means). I wish I had someone accompany me who could have explained to me what I was actually looking at. So I am posting these pictures in the hope of receiving some factual enlightenment in return. So I so wish, Mark C. could have been there .....

Hi Andreas,

Your photos and narrative are excellent! I have enjoyed working my way through the battle with you. Thank you for being so thoughtful to share your adventure with us! I enjoyed every minute of it!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Andreas,

Wow!! This event looked like it was a fabulous time. I certainly wish that I could have accompanied you. Like Brad, I too have never heard of Mount Harmon so it was good that you posted this thread not only for the great rev war pics but also for the knowledge of a new historical place.

Thanks for sharing this.

Thank you all for expressing your appreciation. :)

Brad, Mark & Brad, see you next Sunday in NJ! :redface2:

Pat, please consider this report a (modest) reaction to your wonderful report on Chicago. I enjoyed it tremendously and you made me feel as if I had been there. Thank you for that.

All the Best, Andreas

Andreas,
As Mark, Pat and Brad have mentioned, that was a GREAT set of postings. WOW!{sm3} THANK YOU!!

The pictures were superb, the story line fun and the information was very helpful. I also confess to not hearing about Mount Harmon, so thank you for that also.

HEY ... all us poor and unfortunate REV WAR guys. Maybe we can plan a gathering for one of these Re-enactments at Mount Harmon?
Wouldn't that be special??

Great pictures! I saw a few friends of mine in there, particularly the commander of the American artillery unit that was dressed in small cloths (he has dark glasses, white breeches and waistcoat, and a red sash) who sold me my first rifle.
