Several years back I purchased a Canadian Mountie. I remember it came in a wooden box. Does anyone have anything like that and if so how much are they

You're not talking about the K & C ones, are you?

Manes Marzano packs in a wooden box...
but don't remember them making Mounties...

Kevin,

If the boxes look like the one below, then the company name is "Spirit of the Empire." Besides the RCMP, they did the North West Mounted Police (precursor to the RCMP), French marines, Acadians, 78th Highlanders, and the Royal 22nd Regiment. Sadly, they went out of business several years ago and now only pop up on eBay or elsewhere on the secondary market.

Cheers,

Brendan

Yes that is the box. Do you know where I could get some of the Mounties? Either way thank you for the information

Kevin, I have 4 of these figures in my collection, given them by fellow Canadian collectors over the years and they come in a wooden box.

If I can find the boxes I can take a pic and you can see the details, I'll do that today for you, but this pic shows them on a parade in my collection.

There is a 3 man colour party and a female officer and also a Tradition of London Mountie. The 4 are about 60mm, while the Tradition is 54mm.

Hope that helps,

John

Here are the boxes, and yes, they were made by Spirit Of The Empire

On the left is the cardboard box for the 3 man colour party, on the right a wooden box for the female Mountie and a card about the RCMP which came win that box.

Hope that helps,

John

John that is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. I only currently have the flag bearer. Now that I know who makes them. I will search some out hopefully to purchase. Thanks Kevin

It might be worth calling or emailing the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan (1-866-567-7267 ext. 3002 or info@rcmphc.com[/EMAIL]) to see if they still have any in stock. I know that they used to sell these figures.

Cheers,

Brendan

Brendan:
I tried the email you suggested. I just keep getting a Mailer-Demon. But thank you for the information.

Brendan, thanks for the tip on the Mounties. Unfortunately they haven’t had them for years.I guess I will just have to keep looking
