PROJECT HAIL MARY---the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER commented on a possible sequel to the hit sci fi movie starring Ryan Gosling that is based on the Andy Weir novel, "While there are no official conversations underway between Weir and Amazon MGM, insiders confirm a sequel isn’t out of the question...Both Amazon MGM and reps for Weir declined comment on a follow-up book or movie sequel. But sources close to MGM stress that Weir is in the driver’s seat. The acclaimed author has never penned a sequel to one of his books before, and he is currently working on a mysterious new novel that is unrelated to Hail Mary. But he has said he is toying with potential sequel ideas, though he does not have anything solid enough for a book, yet."

THE X-FILES---Himesh Patel and Danielle Deadwyler will star in the Ryan Coogler/Hulu reboot tv series of the 1990s sci fi/horror tv series that starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Patel and Deadwyler will play new, original characters.

TIME OUT---Adam Sandler and Willem Dafoe star in the Netflix movie about a man who lies to his family about being fired from his job and copes by starting a crooked investment scheme.

STRANGER---Gwyneth Paltrow will star in the Netflix movie based on the novel whose synopsis says, “In March 2020, Belle Burden was safe and secure with her family at their house on Martha’s Vineyard, navigating the early days of the pandemic together—building fires in the late afternoons, drinking whisky sours, making roast chicken. Then, with no warning or explanation, her husband of twenty years announced that he was leaving her. Overnight, her caring, steady partner became a man she hardly recognized. He exited his life with her like an actor shrugging off a costume."

TRIVIA---legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune almost played Lakota Chief Crazyhorse in the 20th Century Fox movie THE DAY CUSTER FELL in which Lt. Col. George Armstrong and 268 troopers of the 7th Cavalry were massacred at the Battle of the Little Bighorn, also known as "Custer's Last Stand". Mifune said, "I've never played an Indian before. Just one Mexican."
Robert Mitchum would have played Capt. Frederick Benteen, but the movie was never made.

THE MADISON---the premiere of the Paramount+ YELLOWSTONE spinoff which starred Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell drew 8 million views in its first 10 days which makes it the biggest premiere of any Taylor Sheridan series.

THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE---Glen Powell will be the voice of Fox McCloud in the animated sequel.

GOD OF WAR---Sanya Walger (LOST, FOR ALL MANKIND) will play Freya, Odin's ex-wife in the Amazon Prime tv series.

THE COMEBACKER---Tom Hanks will star in the baseball movie based on the short story whose plot is described as a “pitching coach of a major league hurler whose life is upended when he is hit in the head by a line drive on the mound. his life changes in all kinds of ways.”

THE TODAY SHOW---Savannah Guthrie returns since her last appearance on January 30th after the reported kidnapping of her mother, Nancy Guthrie.

STOP THAT TRAIN---RuPaul and Sarah Michelle Gellar star in the comedy movie in which disaster strikes a high-speed train that is carrying drag queens.

TRIVIA---in George Pal's TOM THUMB movie based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Peter Sellers played villain Antony and Terry-Thomas played his co-hort, Ivan. In Stanley Kramer's IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD, Sellers was offered the role of British Army officer Lt. Col. J. Algernon Hawthorne, but Sellers wanted too much money so the role went to Thomas.
