Movies... The Military... And Toy Soldiers! (1 Viewer)

I am getting a nice little WWII movie figure / Vehicle collection at this point. Dual purpose as well.
Use them from the intended film theme, or use in a multitude of various scenes.
I would venture The "Cross of Iron" would be a popular theme to add on !

A decorated Sgt Steiner in a combat position would really make for a great figure. And to really go out on a limb, maybe 2-3 of his close squad members. WOW. Some really great diorama possibilities.

Mcqueen in his "War Lover"actor-steve-mcqueen-filming-the-war-lover-standing-by-flying-fortress-at-raf-bovingdon-aerodrome.jpg flying outfit would be different,,

My vote would be for Dr Strangelove.

General Ripper with Colonel Mandrake:

Other notables in the film to include Gen "Buck" Turgidson, Maj "King" Kong, President Merkin Mufley, Col "Bat" Guano, Ambassador Sadesky, and of course Dr Strangelove himself. Self-monitoring radiation badges optional.;)

One of these days I hope to convince Andy to do Richard Burton's CPT. MacRoberts from "The Desert Rats."

My next pick would be doing "The Dirty Dozen"

What about
The Guns of Navarone,
Battle Of Britain,
DUNKIRK [either film],
Das Boot,
Force 10 from Navarone,
Stalag 17,
Escape to Victory,
The Great Escape,
Defiance,
The Last of the Mohicans,
Spartacus,
Enemy at the Gates,

Nooooo, we only want the "Cross of iron" {sm4}{sm4}{sm4}

Lots of possibilities out of this group, Steiner the star of the group.

I am a huge fan of Steve McQueen and the movie the Sand Pebbles. Where do I get this figure? Is it discontinued?

They appear on eBay quite frequently, and also on the Treefrog consignment page from time to time.
Post a note in the T.F. .... WANTED to buy ... thread and hope for the best? :rolleyes2:
