My K&C wood P47D Thunderbolt arrived today, and it is unbelievable!:cool::cool::cool::cool: If might have knocked my F86 Sabre Jet from the top spot as my favorite K&C warbird. I will take some photos of it on my airfield with the K&C U.S. Army Air Corps pilots and ground crew, and send them to Brad with a polite request that he post them for me on this thread.:)

Will do Chief. I'm waiting to find out when my Ju 88 gets shipped; end of the month I think.

Louis...

Look forward to seeing it. Do you have the Lancaster?? if so are there any pics on the forum to see more shots than the promo ones as I wish to buy one before they sell out but, would like to scrutinize it a bit more

Mitch,

Only five were made so there is a great likelihood they're already sold out. If you're interested, I would shoot off an email right away.

Brad, I sent you four photos of the P47 Thunderbolt on the airfield, surrounded by the excellent K&C U.S. Army Aircorps pilots and groundcrew, along with various RAF figures and vehicles.:)

Here are the photos. Nice...

Looking very busy. Great amount of really good releases on show and, do I spy a Purple heart near the B17? A nice touch Louis from what has been stated about your relatives .

Mitch, that's my Uncle John's Purple Heart (KIA in B17, 8th Airforce) and my Uncle Jack's burial flag (9th Airforce, survived the war, passed away two March's ago of old age).

Louis...

Thought as much. Nice touch indeed
Mitch

If you look at the 4th photo, you can see a little shrine to my Uncles who served in WWII, including several photos of my uncles in uniform and in flight gear, and one really sad one of my Uncle John (KIA) with his fiancee right before he left for the war. She became a widow before she ever had a chance to get married.

Nice Louis. Love the P-47D and all the others in your collection.

What a terrific airfield collection both new and old. Thanks for sharing, it gives collectors a glimpse at what is possible over time with a collection. In particular I really prefer the Silver with splashes of colour version of American Warbirds as opposed to the Olive Drab ones. I've got enough Olive Drab with the ground pounders, the splash of colour for Warbirds is a welcome change. I hope K&C go in that direction for their polystone releases to come. 3 RAF Austins!!! Those USAAF pieces look great, I've got to get some but only if an airplane comes along that I like. I also like the D-Day striped planes.

Louis...

Do you have any pics of the memorial I could see?
Mitch
