Some men of the 101st have taken shelter behind an old farm wall in Normandy after having knocked out a German machine gun.
One of the German machine gun crew is lying dead on the grass.
A US medic is giving first aid to a para being shot in his arm. The wounded para has taken his jacket off and his jacket ( with bloody bullet hole)is laying on a wooden crade beside him.
Lots of detail to be discovered

A really wonderful way to start 2019.
Everyone knows the expression, "The Devil is in the Details."

Without doubt you got the Devil by the tail! ^&grin

2019 looks to be a good year!

I have now added a few more details.
The road sign puts them in the vecinity of the route National 13 a road that runs from Cherbourg over Sainte-Mère-Eglise, Carentan and Bayeux towards Caen;
they must be between Sainte-Mère-Eglise and Carentan probably in the vecinity of Hiesville, then we are talking about the 3/501st PIR.
