I know this may be the wrong forum, but this list will get better attention here!

I got out of soldiers about 6 years ago only picking up a few pieces here and there, well, now back full force on all fronts/manufacturers.

Britains, I cant seem to find:

1. Washington Crossing the Delaware (Have 2 add ons, need original boat set)
2. Battle of Concord Diorama
3. Mother Male Tank MIB (have one that is near mint, no box) 8946
4. First Deli Durbar Elephant 8848
5. Naval Car 8925
6. Sopwith Plane 8941 (have one, but missing pilot and repaired, in the box though!)
7. Premier Motorcycle/Sidecar Combo 8922
8. 2006 Collector Club Civil War Figure

Any help out there, let me know, I have been fortunate to find a ton of what I want, but I think these will prove much harder.

Tom

There are a number of the 8848 elephants on the live Vectis auction on ebay. However there is a 22.5% buyers premium.

Hi Vamp,

I am unaware of an 8848 Britains elephant on the live Vectis auction. I did see that several of the other elephants were available, but I did not see the 8848 one. Do you have a link to that elephant in auction? Thanks!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Hi Tom,

I have taken note of your list, but please continue to watch eBay. Some of these items will appear sooner or later, but be prepared to pay for them. Unfortunately, they are difficult to find.

Good luck with your search! I will help watch for the items!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

I would love to find the Washington Crossing the Delware set. I kick myself for not buying it when it first came out. If anyone has one I'm also interested.

For those interested, I saw about 5 months ago the full Washington Crossing the DE set at a store in Lahaska, PA called "A Touch of Britian". It was very expensive. I think they were asking around $500 for it, but if you're desperate and have the money, I believe they still have the piece. Their phone number is 215-794-0234. They also have some of the older Wm Britians sets but they sell them at a very high price.

Hi Guys,

That quite a wish list and if you have the wherewithal to do battle with the mighty pocket books on Vectis you can get a few of them soon. The Elephant you seek is extremely difficult to find and it is commanding top dollar generally so if you see one be prepared for a fight. I am sure you will get a heads up from someone here if its available anywhere so do bide your time and it will happen. Take a look at the Vectis auctions coming up there are some Britains sets going on the block and you should also go check out Toy Mart at

www.toymart.co.uk

The other sets like the Crossing of the Deleware and Concord dont come up too often either and the 2006 Collectors Club Figure from the Civil War is really scarce. Good luck with you search oh I would also contact the Britains Colectors Club and see if they will let you post a want add in their quaterly publication the Standard.

All the best

Dave

Sierra toy soldier had one of those tanks mint in the box at the west coaster. I don't believe they sold it. Check with them.

Tom,

I have seen the Sopwith Camel on ebay from time to time. Also shows.

Thanks to all of you for your insight and help.

I am watching Vectis.

I had a Washington Delware in my hands the other day, but unfortunately a few rowers were missing!!

I know of one place that has just about all of this, but the cost is very tough to swallow all at once!

I am also a K&C collector, so between the two, I will probably go broke.

Thanks again!
Tom

Some of you are going to hate me for redoing my Britains tank. I generally hate their green color scheme and could take it no longer...I also redid the cannons and added Lewis mg's to various places .Michael

Michael: Your modified tank looks neat. That is what I like when someone enjoys their collection and not afraid to make changes. Leadmen

Hi Tom,
I was just on ebay and saw your navy car, set #8925, being offered. There's one bid in at around $100. The bidding ends Sunday night. Good luck, Russell
PS This is my first message and I don't really know what I'm doing. Hope this works.
