Greetings,

my Father past away a year ago. I've recently moved the contents of his "soldier room" down to my house. The collection is in CT. There are over 1268 soldiers in his collection. I will be happy to e-mail an XLS spread-sheet to you if interested. I'm selling the collection as a group because I'm active duty military, and don't have the time to sell it item by item.

There's no make or model number on his boyhood soldiers, so I couldn't include them in a XLS spreadsheet I've made. He was 74; so you can assume his boyhood soldiers are approx. 60 yrs old.

All the boxes are present except his boyhood pieces; as well as (2) boxes of diorama material and about 300 lbs of reference books. Some of the company names in his collection are : CONTE, KING + COUNTRY, DUCAL, BRITAINS, J S DEITZ, IMPERIAL.

I've attached two sample pictures.

Regards, Gary

Hi Gary,

Sorry for your loss. The collection you show is nice and if you are interested there is an auction coming up in the NY Area by a company called Philip Weiss. They are on line as well and if you take the time to check them out you might be able to have them do the heavy lifting when it comes to getting the collection sold. If you need help with potential values please feel free to PM me. I was Active Duty and am currently the spouse of an Active Duty Army Officer so thanks for your service. If I can help you out please let me know.

Dave

Sorry for your loss, and thank you for your service. I, too, would be more than willing to help you with prices, and would be very inetrested to see the spreadsheet: my email is aigleblesse@gmail.com
I may also be interested, though a friend of mine may be more interested than I. We both live in New England, so that could help if you want to avoid the hassle of online.

Gents,

I am overwhelmed by the support and assistance within just 6 hrs of posting the collection. I absolutely appreciate the offers of advice and assistance.

I've had several requests for better pictures. The first pic is the unknown and unlabeled 60 yr old set from my Father's childhood.

V/R, -Gary
