My first Expeditiionary Force figures. (1 Viewer)

The spare hats/heads out of the infantry set could be easily swapped onto the cavalry troopers and painted as the 1st Virginia cavalry with the addition of hat feathers and black bars across the jacket (or Hamptons Legion cavalry with yellow lace bars).

Other variations are to paint them as the 1st Texas cavalry in sky blue kepis with a yellow band around the base area or the 26th Texas which had green trimmimgs/lace and were originally raised with the intention of serving as lancers.
all food for thought

Hello 9th,

Very nice. There are some issues with the original castings such as oval belt buckles on the officers and the knapsack style that didn't exist but this series has a lot of possibilities. Did you find the artillery piece included too small? The original sculpted poses of the gunners are a bit off. The set needs an enlisted man to pull the primer lanyard. I plan to get the set and do some tweaking and remove the bucket from one figure to make that one the lanyard pose.

hi Scott

good points made - didnt like the cannons so used ACTA version

the main thing is that they are nice n easy to paint and look good for adding to dioramas etc... I also think that they are good value.
