I went ahead and took the plunge this weekend and grabbed RFB-01- the 3 person Raid on St. Francis set- just cannot say enough positive things about this set. I really love the little boy with this Flintlock and his pig and the mother daring anyone to "Cross the line" with her musket to back it up. This set is just fantastic and am very happy to have snagged it.

Oh no, what have I done?? Went and got involved with another line of toy soldiers!! :(:p

Congratulations to your new purchase.
As you said, I love these particular poses.
Well, you might have started something there that will not end anytime soon
Happy Collecting!

Welcome to the madness. Remember its an addiction not a hobby . . . er, strike that. Its a hobby not an addiction . . . yeh, that's what I meant.

Congratulations!

I haven’t been able to eat bacon since I received that set.

The thing with JJ is that the more you buy the better they look when you display them. Strange but true. A lot of collectors seem to really like the civilian figures.

I'm glad you're pleased with your new purchase Chris. I also am incredibly tempted to get into this FIW thaaaaang.....!!!
The pictures that various people have been posting and the, in almost every case, positive discussions regarding this line of figures means I will be dipping my toes into the water during the latter half of this year.

Cheers

Welcome to the John Jenkins Club ! :D

You are really going to enjoy these guys - they have such a great look about them.

I also glad to see you free from your spouse imposed Toy Soldier Ban !

That is the truth. I really like the US ARmy 1812 figures. They just look fantastic when all put together. I purchased this set to help enhance my AWI collection but who knows where the cards will finally fall. In order for me to get head over heels with JJ's figures, I would have to make some other modifications to my collecting patterns and I am not so sure I am ready to do that- the 3-500 sets makes them highly collectible but, and I am only guessing here, could make them hard to track down.

I know you can relate to this being a Central Pa guy- these sets are kind of sentimental to me given all the neat Pre- AWI history here in Central Pa and going west- especially out west with Duquesne and all that.
