Mike, cant wait GLAD TO SEE GETTING INTO WW2 ^&cool^&cool

I have always enjoyed but not posted on your CIVIL WAR threads. Like I said look forward to this thread GROWING!!!!

If you are going RECON got to get one of the 222's they are AMAZING!!!!! (top notch detail as them TOMMY BOYS say) ^&grin

Neil :salute:::salute::

A 222 is definately on my "must have" list Neil.

Very cool Mike. ^&cool

I really like your scenic. I find desert scenes quite difficult to execute but you've made it look easy. This is going to be fun to follow.

The 222s and R75s are brilliant. I highly recommend them.

This range has improved with time. The later releases are very good.

Frank

Mike,Mike Mike,
I never thought of you as a WWII guy but got to admit FL figures make it hard to resist. So far I 've seen you into FIW,Crusades,Napoleonics,ACW,AWI and now WWII.Have fun in whatever period you collect.

Thank you very much Frank. Definately going to acquire the 15.Pz Div 222 and both R75's as a start to the DAK AFV/vehicles

Mark, you left out the Conte Alamo, Vikings, Saxons, and Normans I once collected years ago. Well at least no one can say that I am indecisive :wink2:. I always have fun with whatever I collect but sometmies my interests and curiosities change and its time to move on. I like a hobby that can support and perpetuate itself. ACW is still my main focus and always will be . . . . but its nice to have some different tim eperiod diversions . . .
:smile2: Mike

Wow , this is a change of pace for you Mike. I like it though. The scene you created looks great. I look forward on seeing your WW2 collection grow.

Thanks Joe . . . . More to come for sure . . . .

Nice pics Mike of your WWll AK figures. The AK and Bulge are the two favorite lines for me to collect. The Bulge figures would look good out in the 2 feet of snow here but I probably would not find them till spring.{sm4} John

Hello John . . . . hope all is well with you. You only have 2 feet of snow??? Your climate must be balmier than ours . DAK has always been an intrigue for me . . . . after all these years of just looking I decided to jump in. I was hoping that they would keep me warm in light of the winter we have had so far but for some reason its still a bit chilly here.

Here are a couple of photos of my latest addition to my DAK collection; FL DAK016 BMW R75, 15th Panzer Division Recon HQ. I got this for Valentine's Day and am just now getting around to taking photos of it. Expecting to receive DAK006, DAK008 (both infantry walking with rifles) and DAK015 the other BMW R75 15th Panzer Division Recon any day now . . . perhaps today.

Great looking piece there. I have always been amazed on how well detailed these motorcycles are.

Hi Miike, great looking set up you have going on, and now with the pohtos of some future Dak sets coming along at some point this diorama would become even better, thanks for sharing...Sammy

Thanks everyone for the continuing "Likes"

Thanks Joe . . . As you can see I am "jumping in" to WWII also . . . Check out the other BMW (photos below) I received yesterday afternoon

Thanks Sammy . . . with the future DAK sets in the works I am glad I decided to start collecting this range.

Received the expected DAK006, DAK008, and DAK015 (BMW) sets yesterday afternoon. Added these to my dio base as shown in the photos below . . . .

Thanks for the updates Mike, looks sweet, as does the entire Dak range these days!!! along with the new battle Dak poses plus the Dak Hanomag that was shown on the cover box this range is really looking good, now just need to have some "enemies" on the other end of this range sort of speak, Hey Matt...chop, chop, can't fight a battle without another team playing ^&grin^&grin...Sammy

Right now I'm sticking to Normandy so I really hope to see a FJ cycle. Your photos are very tempting though. I would love to get one as a stand alone piece just to admire the detail and quality of it.

Nice collection, Mike. I really like the motorcycles. They got too little attention on the forum.

Thank you Sammy . . . . Looking forward to the DAK Hanomag. I agree, we need some 8th Army sets . . .

Thanks Joe . . . all the sets so far have been very well done and detailed.

The BMW's were one of the reasons Andreas that I decided to start collecting this range . . . They are sooooooo ^&cool

In other news, this afternoon I received a package that contained FL DAK004, 019, 022, and DAK024. All are great looking especially DAK022 (SdKfz 222 Light Armored Recon Vehicle - 15th Panzer Division). Photos to follow tomorrow . . . . .
:smile2: Mike

New DAK additons arrived yesterday, DAK004, DAK019, DAK022, and DAK024. Strictly by accident/coincidence, I was thinking to myself this morning how well the FL DAK figures and vehicles blend in with my diorama, even though I made the dio in December 2008 for an entirely different purpose. By the way, as good as the BMW's are, the 222 is awesome. Here are some pics . . . .

A Sdkfz 222 Light Recon Vehicle and crew of the 15.Pan.Div. at rest by desert well (DAK019 & DAK022)

A Sdkfz 222 Light Recon Vehicle and crew of the 15.Pan.Div stopped for rest and some minor maintenance (DAK004, DAK022, DAK024)
