Hi,

At the request of a friend who is also a Treefrogger - I'm posting some photos of my work area and some of the toy soldiers I have. Also, I've expanded my Barzso Castle. Eventually I'll be creating a permanent display - but for now this temporary is fun.. Hope you enjoy the photos...

Thx,

Jim

Far superior to the 1:1 scale one we've got sitting a couple of miles away.

Great set up Jim.

I can't wait to see what happens when Little John storms the Russian peasant house and finds himself facing a couple of Maxims! :D;)

Pretty cool, Jim! It's neat to see what other guys' workspaces are like.

In the Barzo castle, are the thatched buildings also Barzo, or by another manufacturer, and what scale are they? They look like something I could use.

Prost!

Thx Brad,

Yes the thatched buildings are from Barzso. There are 3 - the Medieval Village Building, The Village Inn and as Simon observed, a Russian bldg from Road To Stalingrad. All the buildings work great with 54/60mm figures.. The figures in the set up are 60mm.

Simon, you got me on the Russian building..but I needed another structure! Your 1:1 castle isn't a castle I guess, but the gatehouse is awesome ( and i still loved the entire thing).. The "watering hole" at the base of the cliff is the best!

Thx,

Jim

Thanks, Jim, I will have to track them down, they would be perfect for villages anywhere in Central Europe, from the late medieval period right up to WWII.

Prost!

:D
It fits in great, and with any number of eras.

And I can't fault your choice of watering holes. :)

Very nice area, is that an Elastolin Castle I see there resting on that table?

Certains looks like a nice place to spend an evening!

Thx - I do enjoy going down there... and yes, that's an Elastolin Castle for the 4 cm knights and Normans.. I've just started collecting them.. I have a whopping 6 figures so far. They're really great - I've admired them for years and finally started collecting them last Oct. when I picked up the castle.

Regards,

Jim

Yes they are quite nice, I used to have 4 of their castles and a slew of both
sized figures! I moved them along when I begain to collect King & Country...
but I still enjoy them every time I see them!

I still have a few boxes of the figures, I'm sure I'll run into another Castle before long!

Hope you find lots of time to enjoy your hobby room!

What a great place to work, display and just have fun with your collection. Oh to have that amount of space.

I'm very fortunate to have the space.. In fact that's about half of it.. I have another large table with my Barzso Daniel Boone/FIW stuff displayed. I need to take a few photos - I'll post this weekend.

Thx
