Very nice JB.....It is just great how you were able to match these two/three different manufacturers and come up with such an eye catching final sets....Luck came in handy as far as scale given that Dinky and Timpo were not really correct scale pairing.....Very nice. Loved the jeep combos.....
Congrats

Hi Luiz - wish I could take the credit for the original idea of combining the Dinky Jeep, with some Timpo-like occupants - though it wasn't my idea at all, to begin with - but came from Giles Browne at Dorset Soldiers, originally. He had bought a box of used Dinkey Jeeps from another dealer - and had them in his shop (under the stairs again!^&grin) and was thinking about how he might move some on. ^&grin He was playing around with some castings - and then the idea hit him that by grafting a Timpo GI head onto the shoulders of one of his own driver/passengers, he could make up a jeep that could fit in with other Timpo GI pieces. So that's how the original Radio Jeep was born.
The Jeep Ambulance however, was my idea - but just took the original concept one step further, using similar elements. I have another two jeeps on order - with some other ideas ( Thanks GICOP) for next time I'm down Dorset way.
Hope I'm not extending this thread in a somewhat different direction than originally intended Zach - but as my hobby isn't just collecting - I'm always trying to spread the message that collecting is not necessarily just for folks with deep pockets - but a lot of fun can be had - by a bit of lateral thought.
Nice to see how many others have contributed to this thread - and the different ranges available which involve "medics". Thanks for kicking it off. jb
