Thanks for the comments and the likes. Most of these are known as SGAs (Stadium Give Aways). All teams do them and usually give away three or four bobbleheads per year to usually the first 15,000 or so fans. I went to a game last year where I got the Orosco bobble and it was a heck of a line to get in, a real mobscene.
Brad, the ones in the back are older Mets bobbles but not that old, maybe around 2000. The real old ones from around the 60s can fetch several hundred dollars.
Gnomes are different than bobbles but very popular. Met did one last year for DeGrom and it's currently going on eBay for around $100 to $150.
The person who picked it up for me said the lines at Citi Field were ridiculous stretching all the way out of the ballpark. It was one of the biggest crowds in their history and one of their most popular giveaways.
If I may do a bit of a threadjack--I don't have a collection of bobbleheads, only one:
He might be older than I am. Before I got him, he had taken a fall and his head was glued back on. There's a chip out of the neck opening at the back, which I'll get around to repairing properly someday. But he has a place of honor on my desk.
