My Son Alec's Photos of Our Collection (1 Viewer)

Alec was playing with his I-phone again . . . this time glossy King & Country on an old K&C Wood and Papier Mache Fort, as well as John Jenkins Designs and Somerset on a TM Terrain building . . .

Very nice the civilian vehicles.{sm3}

CJB Models made some terrific civilian vehicles, although Mr. Burkill (Colin J. Burkill = CJB) is more famous for his terrific military models. There is a thread on this forum, entitled "CJB Models: Colin J. Burkill's Individually Hand Cast Masterpieces", under the more glossy manufacturers subforum (CJB did both glossy and matt versions), where you can see photos of 30 or so different CJB military and civilian models, which are among the best I've ever seen in the hobby.

Tonight Alec decided to take a few photos of our John Firth Custom Diorama of Snetterton Heath Airfield (the field from which my Uncle Joe flew during WWII), peopled with his amazing connosiour glossy painted figures and vehicles, as well as Heco Aircraft, CJB Models vehicles, Yeomanry Models and figures and Ready4 Action vehicles and figures:

Louis

Wonderful collection and great photos by your son. He really has captured the essence and dramatic nature of your figures. I am moving more into gloss as my collection grows and your figures/photos make me want to go further down this avenue of our hobby.

Thank you Gary! Its funny, I started glossy, went to matt, and now have shifted back towards glossy (although I still buy a little matt as well).:salute::
