I had the pleasure of meeting up with Ana , Julian and Laura at the Studio of Beau Geste in Buenos Aires, Argentina recently. My wife Diane ( a great sport ) and I we in the country for a company trip. We took one afternoon and arranged for a visit with Ana. She was happy to accomodate us for a tour of her studio and the opportunity to pick up a few items I had ordered from her. For anyone traveling to Argentina, her studio is a short cab ride from downtown area, for us about 30 minutes. In the Nunez neighborhood. She told me she gets about 1-2 vistors per month. Several from the USA.
She walked Diane and I around the studio to see every aspect of making a toy soldier. I was impressed with the amount of work they do there. She was very busy that day. We saw the , sculpting, mold making , casting area, where Julian ( her son ) works of assembling the figures and parts, and of course the wonderful painting. Luara Cuello of Four Feathers and Sweet Moments was also present and very mice. We loved yor dog Molly too.
I also saw some upcoming items, but I am sworn to silence!
I was also impressed by her entire collection of protypes for the Honour Bound tanks , neatly aranged on top of one of her storage areas.
It was a great trip and truly appreciate the visit and hospitality.

G'day Greg, You lucky dog. I would love to meet these folks. Strange thing is I emailed Beau Gest last year asking if they had some info on the French drummer from the Lyonnais regt Marlborough era. The lady Anna was just wonderful inthe pics she sent back. No sales in it yet she helped me out on a couple of occasions. The worlds got some nice people in it. Thanks for the pics as I can now put faces to names. Cheers, Johno.

Hi Pat, Argentina was really great, very friendly people . More like Europe than I expected. I was expecting Latin America , instead we got Europe. Lot's of Italian influence.
By the way I picked up sets 249 and 250 while I was there. I was putting the finishing touches on my own Elephant.

Looking forward to seeing you and your wife again in Chicago....Greg
