the Celtics gave 23-0 Golden State all they could handle last night...

still they lost in 2OT...and the Warriors are now 24-0...which is unheard of...

poor San Antonio...18-5 at a 783. clip...and deep in second place by 5 games...

24-0...that is unreal...

Got back from the game a little while ago, great atmosphere at the Garden, it was like a playoff game, a lof of Golden State fans there, most still had the price tags on their Curry Jerseys.

Amazing how many bandwagon fans pop up when a team gets good; guess we'll be seeing a lot of folks sporting Kansas City Royals gear this year....................Celtics just don't have a true star to go to in crunch time, Thomas sure ain't it..............

that big center looked pretty good...

is he the future?

Not really, he's not a starter, he comes off the bench, he was on fire last night.

With the picks they swindled Brooklyn out of over the next two years, I'd like to see them make a trade and get a true superstar here.

The draft is such a crapshoot; the two kids they drafted this year early in the first round are ghosts, one is in D league, the other comes in like Ralph Malph in Happy Days when the Celtics are up or down by 30 with 2 minutes left in the game; love that Happy Days episode where the coach tells Ralph to take off his warm up suit and get in there and Ralph has his street clothes on underneath, not his uniform because he never plays..................^&grin

Today against the Bucks might be a test, since they've been on a long road trip and the game is at 530. If they can make it to Christmas Day, they'll have a date with Lebron. Should be highly rated if they can stay undefeated.

just trying to finish up the "Kobe Tour" here...^&grin...^&grin...^&grin...

how sad it is...

I just wish it was over...

I think it creates a lot of dissension in LA for the other players...

according to the LA staff...
they have some talent...
but they don't get to show it as some nights Kobe goes 3-20...

he had a great career...

but like an old boxer...
it's time for him to hang the gloves up...

As far as the NBA goes I have it pretty good in the 2 places I call home. The Warriors are 24-1. After their loss on Saturday I checked the overall standings in the West thinking they would have a 7-8 game lead. Umm? Not so fast. The Spurs are only 4 games back. The Warriors' run has been unprecedented but the Spur's keeping pace like that with a much tougher schedule warrants some attention as well. I hope either one of them wins it all, but it will be tough if and when they meet in the playoffs, after all they both can't win.

The Lakers are now 4-22. Twenty six games into the season they are 21 games behind Golden State! Sad times in Lakerland. At least they should get some great draft picks. Kobe might just walk off the court one night and not come back. At least my LA Kings are showing some promise. They kicked Montreal in the backside last night. Always great for a California team to get a win in the great white north where they probably don't realize hockey is played anywhere the sun shines.

Ah gee, the Lakers stink on ice, what a shame..............and in the last year of the great Kobe Bryant's career too, no final championship run for him then huh?

Ah, double gee to that.

Unless he gets a trade to San Antonio and pads his title total like a fraud instead of going out with a whimper with the Lakers.

On the upside the Lakers are up three games on the 76ers who are 1-26. LOL. Here is something for the Celts to ponder as Kobe goes into the sunset:

That's great; it's awesome when such a likable guy like that has a horseshoe wedged up his backside in a game, such a true ambassador of class and dignity heaving up prayers like that and having them answered.

When I think of all the classy players in NBA history, that fruitloop is right up there with Doctor J, Michael Jordan, Oscar Robinson, Jerry West and perhaps the classiest player in league history, Magic Johnson, who is my favorite non Celtic player ever by wide, wide margin.....................

this is kind of hard to digest...

okay...

I'm probably not gonna watch it...

but who wants to see Kobe in the All Star game?

I'm a big Laker's fan and a big Kobe Bryant fan...
but for real...
I wouldn't want to watch him in an All Star game...

he is arguably one of the best players in the history of the NFL...
but his last 2 seasons have been beyond horrible...

I know these are fan's votes...
but Kobe must have a whole crew of Christmas elves stuffing the box for him...

he is currently the leading vote getter...
by a HUGE margin...

It's his last year, let him play in the game.

All of these all star games are a complete and utter farce, a total waste of time, I wouldn't watch any of them if you put a gun to my head.

He may be a shell of his former self, but he was a baller in his prime years, to give it to him, no harm, no foul.

So he's playing in the All Star game. So? The game's a joke, only slightly better than the Pro Bowl, which is beyond being a joke.

Mike,

It's called "The Sympathy Vote" bro...that's all. It's also called "your all washed up kid". And if we take a page from Elia Kazan'sOn The WaterFront this is the exchange between Mike Miller and Kobe Bryant:

MM: "Look, kid, I - how much you weigh, son? When you weighed one hundred and sixty-eight pounds you were beautiful. You coulda been another Billy Conn, and that skunk we got you for a manager, he brought you along too fast."

KB: "It wasn't him, Mike Miller, it was you. Remember that night in the Garden you came down to my dressing room and you said, "Kid, this ain't your night. We're going for the price on Wilson." You remember that? "This ain't your night"! My night! I coulda taken Wilson apart! So what happens? He gets the title shot outdoors on the ballpark and what do I get? A one-way ticket to Palooka-ville! You was my brother, Mike Miller, you shoulda looked out for me a little bit. You shoulda taken care of me just a little bit so I wouldn't have to take them dives for the short-end money."

MM: "Oh I had some bets down for you. You saw some money."

KB: " You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it. It was you, Mike Miller."

Mike, that is what happens when a Franchise tries to build a team around one man. Unlike the Spurs, who build a Team around and through a coach and the Franchise stays out of it. They (The Lakers) have been trying to bring back the glory days back to LA for quite some time with no success because all they do is focus on KoBe, kOBE, and Kobe. The man gets no rest, no breaks and carries all the load ALL the time. The expectation from the Franchise, the team and the Fans is probably overwhelming and I would imagine he just getting tired. He should have called it quits a few years back, but the attention and over inflated sense of self importance may be too hard to let go. It is all too often when we see athletes who should have stepped down at the pinnacle of achievement, when they are at the height of accomplishment, admiration and arete.

it's the fan's vote...

and the fans support the NBA...

but if Kobe gets voted in to play...

that means that some up and coming NBA star...or someone more deserving...doesn't...

I'm amazed by how many votes he has received...

I'm a Laker's fan...but I wish he would retire...

On the other hand, the 76er's have started their playoff push, winning their 2nd game of the season the other night, and staying only 3 games behind the Lakers. -- Al
