We are so pleased to announce the start of the pre-order of our long awaited 92nd Gordon Highlander regiment. This regiment is one of the famous regiments of the Great British Army of the Napoleonic wars having distinguished itself tremendously at both Quatre Bras and Waterloo, prompting the Duke of Wellington to personally thank the regiment for its outstanding conduct in the Hundred Days campaign.

We have presented them standing waiting and they will fit perfectly either at the crossroads at Quatre Bras or deployed behind Hougoumont at Waterloo formed up before their famous charges at both battles. We've also tried to do something that we haven't attempted before with this release. We've given some of the figures different body types, such an overweight figure and two slightly taller figures as well as doing a figure who has apparently had a double alcholol ration before the battle! Such subtle variations and expressiveness serve to provide a more interesting and realistic look to your battle lines.

These sets will be shipping to customers woldwide in mid-June 2010. We sincerely hope you enjoy them!

Great news Matt.
Question, the second NAP0205 92nd Gordon Highlander Standard Bearer - Regimental Colors - $59.95 on your list is really the officer NAP0206, correct?

Thanks Bill, I just corrected this in the post below, so it's right now. Tired eyes...

Wow Matt! These figures will drive the Nap collectors crazy. Great looking figures. I am looking foreward to the day (real soon I hope) when you announce the pre-order info for the Am Rev War figures.
:) Mike

OUTSTANDING! Matt, I have to break this up into two purchases. They look like beautiful figures.

These look outstanding! And the flags! Indeed I have thought of doing an FL collection of «Flags of the Napoleonic Wars». Have you guys thought of the wonderful flags you can get with FL? Trouble is anywhere I turn with FL seems to be quality all round...:p

Yes it is a variant of the embarassment of riches problem.;):D Your flag set would be most impressive for sure. I can see I will be adding my pre-order for a core group of these rather soon.:D:D

I don't have them all but here is a small vignette of what I do have until the Russin Grenadier Flag Bearers arrive

Matt ,
First a BIG congratulations on getting these guys ready for market .
I have been waiting for awhile and they really didn't disappoint , your team has taken the sculpting to the next level . I'm really impressed , this may be the first drunk figure I have seen that uses only his facial expression ( and Bottle) to tell his story . Please let Constantine know just how much we appreciate his attention to detail :) by some of the remarks to the upcoming new lines more and more collectors are finding out that there really is only one clear choice for the discerning TS enthusiast . Only one other thing to say ................ the pre-order is in my friend :D IMO money well spent ;) . Continued success to all at First Legion. All the best Gebhard

For Standard Bearers, until I get the Highlanders, My favorite is the Prussian.

This is certainly a very fine regiment to add to the mix for many reasons, including Waterloo. Among other things, they were the unit that Wellington fled to to escape French cavalry at Quatre Bras I love the painting of that shown in Wellington's Regiments). Of course, WHEN

we get to the Peninsula

, they can be featured from Coruna to Orthes, with many notable contributions along the way. They fought with distinction at Fuentes de Onoro and helped rout the surprised French force at Arroyo dos Molinos. They also distinquished themselves at Alvarez, becoming one of the few units to earn a battle honor there and fought bravely at Vittoria. In July of 1813 a mere half battalion of the 92nd held back an entire French division at the pass at Maya, suffering over 500 casualties and earning a "valour of Thermopylae" accollade. Later in November, Cameron led his men successfully to take and later hold some of the redoubts at Nivelle and they again impressed Wellington at Arriverete. Probably less than a couple hundred of these veterans remained by Waterloo but they were no doubt a tough and impressive lot. So WHEN

we get to the Peninsula, I'd say they will fit in just fine.
