I'm with ya, my first batch arrives tomorrow {bravo}} along with an Austrian , a Gordon , another Prussian ( just can't have enough ) and a lone Landsknecht Captain . Very excited to see the new French line figures they look superb . Regards Gebhard

Hi Guys ,
Just wanted to give to update I received my order yesterday which included four of the latest French line of the 18th 312,313,314 and 317 . To say I love these new figures would be an understatement . Its my opinion that they are even better then the first French Line release and I will try to build a large number of them for my collection to include a full compliment of drummers and fifers . So please no one buy any till I have all i want :wink2: the standard bearer gave me a scare as the flag was not on the pole and I thought it had broken in shipment thank GOD it slipped on and is fine . Just an incredible release simply the best French Line figures I have seen the fife is even up to the players mouth and the drum sticks are on the head................. like always with First Legion its the little things that make em special . regards Gebhard

Hi Guys ,
Just wondering if anyone else has received any of the 18th yet ? Just wondering what my fellow FL collectors initial thoughts are . I really can't stop looking at the ones I received , looking forward to adding more next month ...regards Gebhard

I will soon receive NAP310 LIEUTENANT DES FUSILIERS: a question of days. As soon as i get it, i will post a photograph on my facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/pages/Les-amis-de-lEmpereur/122574241192557

As soon as possible i will buy NAP327. It looks beautiful.

I ordered 4 yesterday and will add a few more in my next order , but I wont get them until late next week.

I will order a couple, At the end of this week. I have been getting the 92nd Gordons (10 Pieces),I figured Its a good start. And if I decide to buy more, I can in a later date, I will. And if They run out of production. Well, It will not hurt as Much as The 1st Foot Guards.
But for now On to the French We go. I will buy 10 pieces, So I can have some pieces of both Major sides, of the Conflict. And decide then which side I should add on to.(I also got some Prussians, Drummer, Flag Bearer, and two very Impossing Figures. I fear this is the one that I will be sorry for not buying more). And One thing is for Sure With all of the pieces That is bought or not. Every Single one Is of the greatest quality, Of Any Manufacturer.

Hello ,
I'm not sure how many of the foot guards you missed but I think if you are patience you may be able to pick them up . I was missing one of these myself ( oversight on my part ) but was able to find him at issue price from a very cool collector friend in Luxembourg named Steve . I also see them show up on ebay from time to time .
I think it is a very good strategy to buy the standard bearers first they seem to sellout and look great alone just as a study of the uniforms and Standards of the units . No sure of your area of interest but the Russian Tauride Line Grenadier Regiment are some of the best figures they have done the cords and tassels are actully stamped of thin sheet metal and put on separtely just incredible detail the sculpts and workmanship are just amazing. Regards Gebhard

Please let us know what you think when they arrive .. Regards Gebhard

I will do , I was going to grab a few more but with one or more of the new Ranges pre viewing
soon , I am trying to pace myself for now .
Regards Rob

Hello ,
And welcome to Treefrog on behalf of First Legion collectors . You have a wonderful collection of Napoleonic figures thanks for sharing . Regards Gebhard

Thank you Gebhard, i have about 750 metal napoleonic figures in metal from various manufacturers but these days i rather buy FL and Kronprinz figures. First Legion are wonderful figures and Kronprinz are really not bad either. Emilio does good job. Regards.

Thanks for posting this - I've just starting buying FL and was looking at the Russians finally and they looked amazing. I hadn't been interested in the Russians at all but the posing and colors of the Grenadiers really caught my eye!

Quick question - I received the standard bearer - the top hand is detached from the wrist - is this how it normally ships?

I don't think so the one I received was not like that but I have seen this with about two of the hundreds of Napoleonic figures I have so I would say it came apart in shipping due to not enough glue applied to the joint . If you have any glue it should be a quick fix but if not contact Matt via email at First Legion and he will make it right of that you can be sure , best customer service ever period . Mine arrived with the standard off the pole which had me worried untill I just slid it on and it stayed and looks GREAT . What do you think of the figure ? I'm really fired up about em .. Regards Gebhard

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll definitely try out the Russians in the near future.

I really like the 18th infantry standard bearer but I think the detached wrist rubbed a bit on the nose of the figure during shipping. I touched it up with some dry brushing (I paint minis on the side) but sort of a pain to have to glue a wrist and touch up a face on a $70 mini - wouldn't have been as bad mentally had this not been my first FL purchase! I am very impressed with the realism of the figure - the proportions are much more lifelike than K&C when you compare the two side by side.

I certainly understand I would feel the same way for sure , for future reference please don't hesitate to contact Matt at First Legion should you receive a damaged figure . As to comparing First Legion with K&C I'll leave that to you as IMO there is none , and it only leads to trouble . I Look forward to future post regards Gebhard
