Yes, they are the same figures as the Old Guard Grenadiers with conversion work done to change them to Dutch Guard. And yes, this was 100% the only way we were ever going to release Dutch Grenadiers of the Guard. We did the Dutch Grenadier Tete-de-Colonne and we thought that it would be great to the have the Grenadiers to go with them. So to us, it made sense on every level to release these figures exactly as they are.

They are great looking figures.....It would be good to have some actual fighting/firing poses later down the line.....If these sell well Matt might reconsider and make some.:salute::

I agree they are great looking figures, except for the facings as already mentioned not looking red enough. I also hope that's up to the photo and not the paint.
Thing is unfortunately most collectors don't know anything about the Dutch Imperial Guard so I hope they will buy them because of the pretty uniform. I guess we will have to wait and see. But when the owner and creative drive of the company says 100% this is the only way they are going to do them, let's just say I'm a bit skeptical that we will see any other poses anytime soon.
