Well done, Ron, both are looking excellent! I like that imaginative use of some of the Ancient Egyptian scenery pieces, combining them with Napoleonic figures never occurred to me before. It's an obvious step though, and the results speak for themselves.

Love the Voltigeurs - always kicking myself that I started collecting properly just a little bit too late to catch those guys - I've a definite soft spot for light infantry of that era.

Anyway, brilliant to see more Napoleonic diorama scenes - I knew it'd be worth lurking around the forum late tonight :D!

Cheers,

Molloy.

Thanks Molloy

I really think this diorama is an eye catcher - many people look at it ...oh yea - Napoleon in Egypt ! .... although historically the uniforms aren't correct and Napoleon was younger - hey what the heck right? :D

Perhaps some Mamelukes for a Battle of the Pyramids display?
Nice pics of your Naps.:)

Saber

Actually - In the first photo - you cant see it very well .... I have used SARACENS from the Crusader Range - attacking the French Voltiguers. They look really neat in this little battle scene.

Ron

So you have! very nice. Unfortunately I've only aquired a handful of saracens so they cannot be spared from fighting off the invading crusaders and be sent on detached service, yet;).

Is that the Sphinx figure I see? I picked up the temple facade, pharaoh head, and statues before they were retired but must have missed that piece.:( I just bought them after seeing Gordons airfield dio and figured I could find a use for them in AK. I must confess after visiting KINGS X in San Antonio and seeing the Egyptian line I almost started to collect those as well, after all, I already had the temple and the statue..... A man's got to draw the line somewhere.

Yea - Egypt stuff is really neat - but, I have drawn the line there too !

The Sphinx like figures actually come in a pair - really neat to have I have one with the Napoleonics and the other with my AK Collection at home. :)

Hi Ron

Appreciate the effort .. but the size needs working on.

Wonder if Alex could help you re-size these too.
