I've been busy the past couple of months and wanted to show you guys what I've been up too.......since it's been quiet in the figure field, Ive bought a few Napoleonic antiques...that I thought I would share to add to my K&C sets....here they are:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=270091811039&rd=1&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=160084966205&rd=1&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=260079323640&rd=1&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260079327532&sspagename=ADME:L:AAQ:US:1

I also purchased a Brown Bess marked to the "Manchester and Salford Volunteer Regiment", this unit remained in England during the Napoleonic War defending England from invasion. I was also lucky enough to purchase a beautiful hand carved sculpture from the Oak of HMS EAGLE...Piles of history there in the Napoleonic Navel Battles:

Oh I forgot a nice 1796 light British saber .........

NOTICE THE DOCUMENT I PURCHASED....THE HMS LEE WAS BUILT BY NELSON'S NEPHEWS, THE FIRST CAPTAIN WAS JOHN PASCO, NELSONS 1ST LIEUTENANT ON HMS VICTORY DURING THE BATTLE OF TRAFALGER....THE SIGNATURES ON THE DOCUMENT ARE AMAZING ALL OF THEM WERE MILITARY HEROES DURING THE AMAERICAN REVOLUTION, WAR OF 1812 AND NAPOLEONIC BATTLE ONE OF WHICH WAS GEORGE COCkBURN WHO HELP WIN THE WAR OF 1812 BY ENTERING WASHINGTON DC WITH 200 ROYAL MARINES UNDER HIS COMMAND BURNING DOWN PARTS OF THE CITY, HE ALSO COMMANDED A SHIP DURING TRAFALGER AND ALSO WAS THE ONE WHO CARRIED NAPOLEON ON HIS SHIP TO HIS ISLAND WHERE HE LIVED OUT THE REST OF HIS DAYS...The history from these 4 signatures is way to large to even begin to try and type here...I'm VERY y to have obtained it for the price I did.

Win the war of 1812? I hate to break the news to you but the English lost that one. First they signed a treaty conceeding all the issues, because they needed to focus on the French, and then, before news of the treaty crossed the Atlantic, their entire expeditionary force was annihilated at the Battle of New Orleans, where several thousand British troops, including the commanding general, were killed at a cost of some 26 Americans dead. It was described by no less than your namesake as "the greatest disaster in British military history".

There are many disasters in British military history. Very few complete defeats though

Whatever Louis.......this thread is intended for people who want to have a look at the antiques I bought...it wasn't intended as a political one.....:)

I'm sorry Wellington. By the way, I looked at your purchases, and they are amazing. I loved the Gorgets, and the document, and I wish I could have seen a shot of the Brown Bess.

Thanks Louis.....I posted the few that still had pictures on E-Bay.....I have a couple of Brown Besses a French Calvery pistol as well...I guess I'm a little lazy when it comes to taking pictures....the E-Bay ones were easy, they were at the expense of someone elses work.

Cheers
WELLINGTON......:)

Great job Wellington! I would also love to see the French Calvery pistol some day. All of these items will look great with your collection.

Didnt Wellington's Brother in Law die at the Battle of New Orleans?

As a relative newbie to the Joys of Naps i have to say this. The French cavalry just announced(shown rather)are much more what you might think of as typical French cav wouldn't you say?.I mean THEY are the ones i would picture attacking the square as opposed to the previous releases. And the choice of poses is superb.I mean you have a really good mix of both attacking and casualties, real action stuff.God what am i doing on this thread, must flee back to WW2 before i start ordering...you lot are leading me astray!

I'M OUTTA HERE!!!!!!

The Borg haven't joined the Empire as well have they  :D

Even if they had we'd still have won!.The Borg may be lethal fighting machines but if your leaders got Cystisis your in (or urine!)trouble!!!

I was assimilated when I married a Borg (my wife's family name) and I can tell you, all the Borg care about is keeping the Toy Soldiers strictly in the museum, and not in the rest of the house!

The Borg i married won't let me have a museum....but i still love her!

Have a great symposium Louis.
