Napoleonic Releases (1 Viewer)

Dispatches is around the corner.

Here's hoping .. NA 212 to 226, more British cavalry & Gordon Highlanders

:D

I am with you on this one. Let's keep our fingers crossed :) BTW I just received my 2 first Gordon Highlanders: NA 209 and NA 227 (early Xmas present to myself :)). They are magnificent! Now I need to make room for the rest of the regiment...;)

Not SO fast ... I'm still swelling the ranks with older troops before thier costs increase.

When I've exhausted my budget for the next couple of months (in one month), I'll get back into regular reinforcements of new ones. :)

Personally I am all done catching up ... have all I need or want, except for the latest arrivals. Anyway one cant say its ever too early to see what K&C's next NAPs release look like ;)

I had a reality check last night when I sorted through how many K&C soldiers I still had in their boxes.:eek:
I have 34 individual soldiers and three sets that are still in their boxes and can't be displayed until I have sorted out some space.
I also have some Collectors Showcase and Britains still in their boxes.
After the London TSS on Saturday I am going to tighten my spending for the next few months.
However, I really want K&C NA 227 (standard bearer) and NA 211 (Gordons and Greys to the front).
So it's a case of limiting myself to "must haves".
I can't be the only one with this boxed soldiers problem.
What do you guys do? I suppose rotation and changing displays is the answer.

I'm sure that you must be in the minority.......

The solution is to get more cabinets... put them on display AND enjoy your troops.....

Think about them too.... the poor boys have been laying in foam, in the dark, haven't seen the light of day, nor been fed and watered since they left the factory in China 'many moons ago'.... all they want to do is get out of the box, line up, and see thier opponents, who likewise have been boxed up...

If you can't do that to relive thier suffering you can always transport them to the colonies..... I know of kind person, here in the Swan River Colony who will take your unwanted troops, give them a good home, and even let them watch the Ashes Test Cricket with a cold beer this summer.... ME :) :)

Main thing is to ENJOY our hobby ... I do :) :)

John

P.S. I'd love to be at the show on Saturday, but I've had my show for this year when I came to the June Show.

Yes you are right. I need to treat these little guys better. I don't want any desertion in the ranks.:)
I have got to get my kids out of the house and turn their bedrooms into war rooms. It's the only way:D

Thats my plan too .... my youngest is getting married in February, and then we are 'without dependents' so a couple of free rooms, a smaller household budget and less hassles will give me food for thought about a relocation for my troops too :)

Good luck...

The Cameron guys with the Regimental color and the drummer are great!

I look forward to more variety poses other the the generic ones (some of them are identical to the Black watch, just with an extra bayonet)

Give us dismounted officer, Andy!

Yes this was exactly my thoughts on seeing the New Scotsmen.

I'm sure that Andy my be just a 'wee bit' biased when it comes to Regiments of the British Army?

We now have the 42nd Black Watch, 71st Highland Light Infantry, 92nd Gordon Higlanders by K&C ...... that only leaves the 79th Camerons and the 2/73rd Highlanders to have ALL the Scottish Regiments at Waterloo.

BUT there were 20 Regiments of Foot at Waterloo, (and the 3 Guards Regiments) the other 15 Foot were English, Welsh or Irish... so why not have some of them too????

The same goes for the Cavalry, only 1 Scottish Regt., which K&C produce, but none of the other 14 (English or Irish).

I'm not say I don't like the new guys, they are great... epecially the drummer, sword in the hand is a much better weapon that drum sticks :)
NA209(L).jpg

but maybe some Line Infantry next time ...please :) :)

By the way.... the code numbers are VERY interesting.... NA202 - 211 AND NA 227.

OH GOODY... another 16 in between to come soon ???????

Thanks for the new NAPS.... Viva Le Emporer

John

the sword may be harsh on the drum skin
