Oddly enough, the Seamen of the Imperial Guard wore something that was not supposed to belong to their arm. What was it?

Yes, I'd agree about the blue dolman with aurora braiding

AND they carried a curved sabre, like the hussars.

Correct guys and Trooper is the winner! They were wearing a dolman which was usually reserved for the cavalry.
