Back from European biz travelling! Two Napoléon's famous generals were born in the same town and same street. Who are they?

Not sure on streets but Bertrand Bessières and Jean-Baptiste Bessières were both born in Prayssac. Jean-Baptiste was by far the more renouned and skillful, as well as a close friend of Napoleon.
Napoleon once said that he could have won at Waterloo if Bessières had been there.

Hi Grognard,

César and Victor Berthier.

Have a nice WE

Thanks everyone for the answers but none of these are the 2 generals in question!

Antoine Charles Louis Lasalle and Francois Étienne de Kellermann were both highly daring and skilled cavalry generals born in Metz. They were certainly both famous, as was Auguste-François-Marie Colbert, not so sure about his brother.

Maybe you're right, maybe not. Unfortunatly, the postman who dealt the mail in the street didn't write his memories. We're not helped.:smile2:

Wait and see for the second half time.

You never responded to this choice. Kellerman was born in Metz.

If those two are now right, Eugène Rose de Beauharnais and Emmanuel de Grouchy were both born in Paris.

No, they are not the ones in question. Additional hint: they are from the South of France.
