Hey guys haven't been on here very much lately, which is probably the reason for my thread. I have always felt that K&C Napoleonic collectors have been in the minority 9which is a known fact), but, ever since the forum has grown I definently have felt this way. I know this isn't your problem just thought I'd mention it. Are there very many K&C Napoleonic collectors which are new to the forum or all of you guys WW2 collectors? I know there are a few of the old forum members out there.

WELLINGTON......:)

Wellington,

I think it's a mix (although I don't collect Napoleonics) between World War II and Napoleonics. I can post a poll if you like.

Sure Brad, if you like I'm a little curious, it wouldn't change my collecting habits, but it would be interresting.

Cheers
WELLINGTON.....:)

I think that the WWII guys out number us napoleonic collectors by a large margin. There are really only a few of us here, although there are a few guys that have a passing interest in napoleonics on the side of there WWII collecting and a few guys who love it all like fubar. I collect napoleonics in metal but in plastic i,ve got other figures also. It gets to expensive to collect other figures in metal or i,d start on some cival war also. I,ll bet there are alot of guys who like napoleonics but want to stick to one peroid in time for the lack of money and space for them. I,m curios just how many other forum members are into the napoleonics other than the obvious, me, wellington,sceic2,fubar and a few others. Lets also hear from any others out there even you new quiet guys out there don,t be affraid to post.

I recently started collecting the Napoleonic figures as well. Sometimes a particular era one likes sparks the desire to collect those particular sets. For me its was actually the opposite with the Napoleonic figures. I found the K&C sets very appealilng and that sparked my interest into that era. I recently purchased the A&E mini-series, Napoleon (Call me lazy at research). I can see how Andy has countless options in this line.

I collect Napoleonics, not K/C...99% Mulberry Miniatures,1% Frontline.:D :D :D Michael

Hi

Where there is a will there is a way......:) I'm glad to see I'm not alone in this time period...I knew I had some old friends on here but looks like I have met some more.....

Hi Wellington
I think it might be my will, and a wife in the way:D

Wellington.
I've been interested in the Napoleonic period for the last 30 years, started off with 25mm wargames armies and spent quite a few years building my collection. After a break of some years, moved on to 54mm traditional style figures which I painted myself and then onto K&C. Trouble is where do I go from here? Yes, I know, I don't....
I have attached a picture of a RHA set which I painted a while back, a K&C version would be the icing on the cake for me.
Regards
jeff

Jeff, really nice job on the artillery set. I too wish that K&C would do more cassions, wagons, ambulances, etc. from the Napoleonic era. But, you seem to have a knack for doing it yourself. All you would have to do is repaint it in matte' and you have one.:p Michael

To SCEIC2 AND FISHEAD Buy Mulberry Miniatures from the e-bay link. That is Gavin direct sell of his new figures at very good prices...Some of the stores are still selling old stock at retail. You will do better at the e-bay auctions...I became friends with Gavin and have been able to get special figures and poses from him. Because he is a 1 man show, special commissions take him much longer whereas most of his e-bay stuff is done by auction time..Michael

Wellington -- I'm new to the forum. Yes I'm a Napoleonic collector in the States. For many years (40) built up a 30mm wargame army (over 1000) "Willie" figures by the great British designere Edward Suren. I handpainted them all. My eyes will no longer permit me to paint at the level of detail I like, so the new K&C Napoleonics are exciting. My son now plays wargames too so we'll gradually build an army of K&C and Del Prado figures, flesh them out with some painted plastic ones where necessary. I'm now a regular reader of these messages.

Welcome aboard, I'm glad you are a regular on the forum...need all the help I can get.......;)
