Hi guys just started collecting napoleonics with K and C. I'm new to this hobby, I used to collect militaria ww1 and ww2 but sold my collection. I have bought approx. 70 sets so far and going strong. Its hard getting used to investing in toy soldiers because I used to invest in the real thing. I chose K and C because of the quality and variety they have to offer.

Wow--I've tried everything and there doesn't seem to be a way to change a thread smiley--only an individual message smiley, even for the administrator. So we'll all have to just agree that Wellington meant :) and not  . If Wellington wants I can delete the thread and he can start over to avoid confusion but it's probably not that big of a deal. You know what they say, negative press is better than no press--people will flock to the this thread to find out what huge problem there was with the King & Country Napoleonic line only to find that Wellington is blissfully pleased with it after all. Happy ending for one and all. ;)

No problem....I came to see what the problem was, glad it was nothing. I mainly collect the WWII figures, but I do have several sets of the Napoleonics. And I find them quite interesting!

Well as a collector of mainly Napoleonic King and Country with just a dash of WWII thrown in I think it is totally appropriate for Wellington’s post to have a frowny face. We all know that whenever Wellington faced a decent French General it was all frowns for him.

Welcome on board and Wellington and remember Viva la Emperor!

Old Guard

I too collect Napoleonics, American Revoultion, and a few well choosen WW II items.

I'm looking forward to the new Old Guard figures due out this month. The other new Napoleonic figures coming out in Oct./Nov. will be more Black Watch and some troops from the German Legion. From what I've heard the King's German Legion will be Rifemen in green uniforms. This last bit of information is just rumor.

wow.....more figures yet again for this year, I trying to play catch up and its breaking the bank, ontop of that a baby due in oct!! how often do new sets come out? When you guys buy a set, lets says the 71st for instance how many do you buy to fill your idea of a regiment?

ps cement shoes you must buy from ron daniels then....super guy

Cheers

Do we know what the upcoming Black Watch Napoleonics are suppose to be?

I have a limited budget and I was about to pick some pieces up, but if there are more BW in the works I would want to wait and see. Would hate to spend the budget and find other pieces prefer.

I didn't realize there are more 42nd comng out. Petri how many 42nd do you have so far? For the napoleonic collecters what is a good number for each reg..ie 71st

Cheers

At the moment I am trying to maintain a budget that will allow me to pickup one of each BW figure.

I only started collecting this year and haven't really put together what my goals are with the nap range. I did order up a 71st piper to challenge my 42nd Piper.

I figure when I get one of the action poses I will need to order up a Frenchie or two for breakfast. To do anything beyond that would be overwhelming.

How are you putting yours together?

I Have One Of Each And In Someposses 3 Or 4. For Example With The 71st I Have 18, With The 42nd 14, I Find 12 Is Enough To Show A Nice Reg.

Cheers

Thanks for the tip. Do you have pics? I really enjoyed looking at everyone's pictures as they really moved my thoughts from showing off a set to having something with a little more of a story.

I have this little idea in my head that it would be nice having a nice group of 42nd holding steady with a group of 71st marching in to take up a position.

And a cheers to you,

Brian :)
