The LCM 3 could just carry a Sherman. The LCM 6 was 6 ft longer and could easily carry a Sherman. Here is a photo of each.

Didn't they use the LCM for the Omaha beach seen on the Longest Day and Saving Private Ryan? I think they did, correct me if I am wrong. Anyway this would be a great addition to anybody's collection, I could use it for a Utah beach diorama.

LCT 811 actually was used for landings on Utah Beach.
