Nice alternative use for the French Indochina series figures, Horus! As always, you’ve made a great scene.

The poor beggar will be lucky to collect spent cartridges out of these tourists. Good change up Steve. Robin.

Thanks Poppo , but nope never seen it . will try to look it up when I have time !

It is a very famous( in Europe) italian movie about the Battle for Algeri made in the 60ies.

Banned in France because it shows the french crimes during the war of Algeria.

Another italian movie " The lion of the desert" showing the fascist crimes during the italian occupation of Lybia before ww2 was banned in Italy for a long time!!

Nice work creating this scene especially using the new Thomas Gunn figures.

Ah ok I see, I actually do have this movie Battle for Algiers" on dvd just haven't gotten around to watching it as yet.
Anthony Quinn was also in the "The Lost Command" about fall of Dien Bien Phu and then latter in Algieria .

Yes proving to be quite adaptable figures for both scenarios and would work for Suez Crisisi of 1956 too no doubt. Now there's an idea for another diorama !{sm4}

I want to see these films. I miss the olden days when we were captive to whatever the broadcaster wanted to play. There was heaps of crap but then on a rainy Sunday you would get an action packed war classic and it was bliss. So many of these old western and war movies are so hard to track down.

Great diorama Steve! The Battle of Algiers is definitely worth watching if you have the time.

Best wishes,
Benjamin
