Need help building a castle (1 Viewer)

I wasn,t sure what he,s looking for??? I figured at least the web site might give him or someone else food for thought ideas? There is also a links page on there. The plans could be transfered into wood? And yes I agree a paper castle just dosn,t cut it for K&C figures, glad you opted not to go that route!:p
Although the paper floor would make for a great trap door!:p

Tim,

I think between the two of us, we've given him enough food for fodder.

Look at Fubars fort, I think that makes as good a castle as I have ever seen.

It's just like anything else I build, it starts out fun, becomes a headache and then the pride of finishing it.

Mike I think you would be very wrong in saying that no one has ever done one in wood that looked good! Here are a couple of photos of one I,ve seen in person that was incredible! I saw this one at the hobby bunker and also two others also made of wood from the same builder that looked just as good if not even better.

That's really a great castle !!!
Never such a realistic building.

If you are tired of models in 1/72th , 1/34th and 1/30th you can try building in 1/1 :D

That's what they do at Guedelon (France) where a castle is built whith the methods of the 13th century.

Site in English : http://www.guedelon.fr/en/

I had the opportunity to visit it last summer with my family, great experience ! You can not only see the building of the castle but also all the production of materials (wood, quarry, tiles, ropes...).

It should be finished in 14 years so still many opportunities to visit the progressing work with my kids (one visit was probably enough for my wife).
If you are not far away, it's worth the trip.

Cheers,

Michel
