Hi there

I'm a member of the Friends of the New York State Military Museum in Saratoga Springs, NY. We have lots of toy soldiers that have been donated to us over the years that we are trying to sell on eBay to raise money for our museum's exhibits and programs.

I was going to put an item on ebay today when I realized that the figurines inside are in the wrong box. The box says #17281 British 52nd Regiment of Foot but those are not the correct figurines. I am hoping somebody on here might be able to recognize these soldiers and what set they belong to?

Thank you in advance!!!!!!!

That is set 17221, British 10th Foot Light Infantry. It was retired in 2003. Without the box, I would start the listing at $30, for $10 a figure. In the past, these sets have gone for much less than their original price, but there has been some renewed interest, so $50 may not be out of the question.

Sandor

P.S. While I am not interested in purchasing this item, I would love to see what else you might have for sale in the future, so a link to your eBay store would be great!

Hi Sandor,

Here's the link to our listings: http://www.ebay.com/sch/fnysmm/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I list a few new things each week, if there is anything in particular you are interested in, let me know. We do not have any more Revolution toy soldier sets, but have a lot of Britains Civil War sets and Conte Alamo sets.

And thanks for the tips on what types of pricings would be appropriate. We inherited all of these sets and I'm not a collector and don't really know what I'm doing! Just trying to raise a few bucks as a fundraiser! :)

Hmm... I think these figurines might be an assortment of different sets. The ones on the left and middle in my picture appear to be the #17221 like you said, but the one on the right in my picture seems to be from a different set. The figurine I have is holding it's hand up to it's mouth... I found the same figurine in this ebay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/10TH-FOOT-L...095488833?pt=Toy_Soldiers&hash=item4d16d43941

Perhaps I will just sell them as "Assorted Lot of British Foot Light Infantry".

Thank you for your help!

The set number/title I gave you is correct, but you are definitely very observant! In fact, that figure was also included in the set you posted, which was part of a larger set depicting the Concord Bridge.
Regards,
Sandor
