I'm thinking of purchasing Operation Citadel either Vol 1 or 2 by Jean Restayn and am looking for any opinions on either of these books. My big question is the quality of the photographs.Thanks in advance.

I have both volumes and think they are fantastic. I'm a big fan of photo albums. The picture quality is good. I refer to them quite often.

They are very good books and as has been said the quality of pics are superb. The Book on Kharkov is also very worth looking at getting.

These are great books. The only problem is the cost and availability. Vol 1, the South, has been OOP for quite a while, is very difficult to locate and is expensive (think over $150, low end) when found. Vol 2, the North, is still in print but is not cheap at around $100, if you're lucky. I haven't seen a Vol 1 in a long time. -- Al
