Gary, as I see it, this "FORUM" was designed for the subject of TOY SOLDIERS.
NOT to be used as a platform to SMEAR individuals who post their ideas and opinions.
I am a passionate and devoted collector who wants the hobby to grow and prosper utilizing critical opinion.
Shame on you, for crossing the line Gary. (Retired Police Officer}

Might I ask as to what other Companies you are comparing the price of these to, in order to quantify your statement that these seem to be over priced?
You have to compare like to like, so they would have to be compared with another Company who is only making 1,000 sets (or in this particular case, just 300 sets!) against the mass-production of, say, TSSD, Paragon, Barzso (plastic sets only) etc who would normally have to produce 6,000 shots and who reduce the number down to 3,000 sets by simply placing 2 shots of each figure in a pack.

I can't think of another Company, apart from possibly PVBLIS who may have comparable production numbers - also from Russia, and who sell at a similar price.

China for the most part won't do low production without incurring a cost penalty, generally, they would not switch on their machines for these small amounts.
Also remember that these are not readily available from every dealer. Only a very few have them.
They are made by a 'cottage industry' in a Country that is becoming harder and harder to be able to do business with because of their political situation.

I realize all the facts that you stated and accept them as true. In my opinion I haven't and most likely wont buy a set from this company due to the fact that for the price being asked and cottage industry I would expect more combat poses higher level of detail perhaps etc. I don't necessarily need character figures or standing guard figures for that price. But hey just like a#$h*^%$ everyone has their own opinion and to say what they want right? I mean this is the internet.....

"I came very close to producing our first two sets in 2004 with Ed Brenard, the owner of Brenard Mold in Windsor Ont.''

Might I ask which sets you were planning to do? I intended to bring out a range of Anzacs and Turks in plastic but for various reasons just did the Anzac range and in metal only. I wound it up after a few years as it was making no money. Sigh....

Well, I had $60000, enough to produce two opposing sets of 8 poses. Including press runs of the figures.
Ed, OWNED BRENARD MOLD, so as my partner, everything we did would be at cost.
My Uncle Norman Fortin, was a Master Commercial Sculpture who could sculpt anything in scale.
It was a dream team and I was going to call the company: The PLASTIC GENERAL

The first two opposing sets were going to be:
GERMAN INFANTRY (in Winter White Camouflage) vs SIBERIAN WINTER ASSAULT TROOPS (in Winter White Camouflage)
We were also going to apply for a Canadian GRANT, and do D-DAY CANADIANS (in Mark III helmets) vs GERMAN PARA TROOPS (Monti Cassino)
Everything was going to be made right there in Windsor Canada, no CHINA bullshit.
I'm only 45, one day I'm going to find a way!
