I suppose we just need a 1:6 Horsa glider and away we go.

After reading the thread, I say, "Whew!" I saw "on the way out" and thought you meant that they were being retired or discontinued.

They are some great figures!

Prosit!

Jokes aside, I have heard from more than one dealer that 1:6 isn't nearly as popular as it used to be. I guess the speculators have moved on to something else.

You may be right, there, Digger, we may be seeing the market stabilizing now on a core group of true collectors.

Still, it's amazing to see what some collector-modellers are doing with those figures, too. I've seen some really well-done dioramas, of one or two figures. Much in the same vein as the work some members of the forum do with stock figures.

Now, one dio that I'd like to see is a 1/6th B-17 and crew. That would be cool!

Prost!

The detail is incredible and some dios I have seen look entirely real.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the release of that Japanese infantryman - have mine preordered. Retailers like Monkeydepot say he is the most pre-ordered figure this year. So much for there being no market for WW2 Japanese subjects!

You may know this but you can get a couple of B-17 door gunner dios ready-made from Dragon (for a price):
