New ACW Zouaves (1 Viewer)

CS has focused on making ACW infantry figures with colorful uniforms. While I admire them, I don't buy them because they don't fit in with the ACW figures I have from other companies with traditionally colored uniforms. I like the design of CS figures, but I would like to see ACW figures with uniforms in the traditional colors.

The Zouaves were regular infantry regiments for the Union and the 146th wore this uniform late war. Any company can make plain blue and gray frocks, but the Zouave units were considered elite soldiers. Do not be fooled by their bloomers..Michael

For me, this is just the reason I do buy CS and am excited by their products. I have over 100 regular blue Union soldiers from Conte/Britains/Frontline. I have wanted to add colorful Zouaves for years. Whenever someone looks at my collection, they comment specifically on the 14th Brooklyn set. I do think it would be great though if CS would continue some of the lines so we could create larger dioramas with them.

Zouaves have been a long, long time coming. I do hope Brian releases more sets for the units he's already done.

Love the picture. My wife wants to know if you had a bunch of guys blowing cigarette smoke onto the scene while you took the picture...
