John, one thing I must say about your posts, they are predictably consistent.:D

Let him dream . . . we are all allowed to dream [wooden warbirds with pilots, groundcrew and RAF and Luftwaffe vehicles and diorama material].

....Paras storming Pegasus bridge with Bren gun teams and wounded sets.Yes we can all dream.

Although John i see one of your wants is another Rommel. Can't see Andy doing another one for a while.

I think John comes up with some good ideas. I know he is a bit repetitous but sometimes you might never know what might capture Andy's, Ana's or Blake's attention.

He does, and he has real passion for the EA/AK range.I'm excited about the future of this range as it does look like there is so much still to be made,if the current range is selling well enough of course. What do you think Brad, will AK/EA go on like the DD range?.

Personally I can see the Afrika Korps series being continued for some time. Well I certainly hope so anyway. I've always liked the African Theatre of Operations in WWII because the battles were so fluid. And it is perhaps the last time that humans were involved in warfare that was more or less humane. Thousands of prisoner being captured by all sides and were on the main well treated.

It is also often seen as a personal clash between two military leaders, being Montgomery and Rommel. It is also a good example of politics triumphing over sound military tactics when Churchill foolishly redirected the allied forces in a vain attempt to save Greece from the Germans. Thus allowing the bulk of the German African forces to escape capture to fight another day.

Certainly hope the North Africa stuff goes on for ages.Would love a desert Sherman and a grant.Think you are right Oz, it does have an appeal all of its own.I love the whole story of Rommel arriving as the all conquering hero sweeping all before him,and then Monty arriving and a reborn 8th army driving the fox back and out of Africa.Love it.

You have another point in that you don't seem to hear of so many atrocities in the desert do you.Having just read about the horror of Berlin it reminds me that war CAN be fought along some more humane guidelines,

Rob.
