Why the new AR figures are smaller than the previous ones?

If the Marine figures are all (for now) at the same scale (1/32???), the BR52 and BR53 figures can't be displayed (at least side by side) with the previous BR42 to BR47.

Is there a definitive scale that K&C will use or will I have to abstain to buy because I can't know for sure what the scale is?

Pierre.

I am pretty sure they are now 54mm (1/32) not 1/30th scale, same as their Barbarian range. Seems strange to me that WW2 is 1/30th but some of the others are 1/32? Still could be wrong on this - sure someone will know?

Their British Commando figures are very small too. It seems to be something that occurs once in a while. I don't know why it happens, but it actually sucks a bit, because you can't combine the figures in a diorama.

I would love to have an explanation for that...

I know that Mr. Neilson, in a previous post, said that, time to time, K&C issues smaller figures (he even asked if we were able to tell which ones). Another example is the IWJ24 (Chi-Ha japanese tank) that is obviously not at the 1/30 scale.

I also love to have an explanation.

:( Hello! I Double Agree with you Guy's, about the K &C Figure's , they're looking SMALLER, and PUNY, Not BEEFIER in Statue, NOt Like Andy' Older Figure's, they were SOLID, and LARGER? ALSO, Dissapointed about his NEW MOTORCYCLE'S, they're Fragile and PUNY! The Best MOTORCYCLE'S are the OLDER ( WS06'S)? The WHEELS at Least Spin?

Andy has always indicated that his figures, like real people, will be different heights. There are people who are 5'5, 6'0 and 6'5, and some people are thin, some muscular, some stocky, some fat, so some of his figures will be larger and beefier, others smaller and thinner. However, I have not placed the newer Rev War figures next to the older, so I cannot comment on their suitability for display together. I will say that I regularly display older K&C WWII figures alongside the newer ones, and the only issue is the substantially improved quality in todays production (I tend to use the newer figures in the foreground and the older figures in the background where the lesser detail is not as obvious).

John, I have to respectfully disagree with your comments on the newer motorcycles. The U.S. MP on the Harley is one of my favorite all time pieces. I have always liked all of K&C's motorcycles, and am really looking forward to the new sidecar cycle. I am not as concerned with whether the wheels turn as I am with the realism of machine and rider.

I also love all the K & C motorcycles. I have them all except for WS 07 and I don't see the big deal about their wheels not spinning (and John is not the only one to mention this). These, after all, are military miniatures, not toys. They are meant for the shelves or dioramas. They're not like little toy cars that you push down a ramp.

I think there is a point to be made in favour of the WS03, WS06 and WS07 is that the wheels had distinct spokes. However, I'd still prefer the AK25, WS46, DD41 or DD58 (or the LAH 55 version of AK25/WS46 to the LAH09 version of WS03 and LAH11 version of WS06 one if I were to collect the LAH series) as the newer releases have far greater detail and far better figures than more than compensate for the 'solid wheel'.

You've omitted the RAF dispatch messenger (in blue) that was made around the First of the Few. That is one of my favorite bikes. In fact I have two.

I love the new AR figures. The sculpturing is far superior to the earlier figures. The newer figures look more poportional. I think some of the earlier figures have heads that are made too large for thier bodies.

Keep with the new sizing.
