It was on an email from K & C:

Dear Online Collectors Club member,

The launch of DD107 Landing Craft Assault has proved to be successful and the 1st batch of production was sold out quickly. We’re pleased to advise the 2nd batch of production has just came in today, BUT this time it’s with a new marking “LCA 711” (Code# DD107-01); and this will replace the DD107 in LCA 718 marking.

In case you have not yet bought the Landing Craft, quickly grab one before it's gone. If you have already obtained the "LCA 718" marking, why not get the "LCA 711" and form a nice display?

I researched LCA numbers at Normandy and while almost every one had a note beside it's number (i.e. lost, swamped offshore, where it landed etc.) LCA 718 was one of the very few to have no notation beside it. I have wondered if Andy picked that number deliberately to be "generic". I wonder how he picked LCA 711?

I think this is a great idea and promotes multiple purchases that fulfills many collector's diorama themes.

Its that dio scene thats making me think of the second LCA as well,when this hobby gets hold of you it doesn't let go does it!

Yeap it sure does lol that picture of the 2nd one is drawing me in aswell!!! I surpose i can always buy one & leave it boxed up till i have the room to display it properly

my girlfriend is quite good to she buys me sets & is very understanding! I think she prefer's i spend my money on this hobby then on cigarettes & alcohol lol plus as alot of my sets are still boxed up in the loft at the moment so shes none the wiser to when ive bought something new

She is very understanding really plus me collecting soldiers has gotten us a bigger room in the house as my dad is having an extension built for my room & his office (more display room) hehe

Great idea to change numbers....should keep in mind to do same with armoured vehicles.....maybe even aircraft .......
